I finally have saved up enough money to put a decent sound system into my car. It has bothered me for so long that i only have two speakers in my car that suck and the right one is the only one that works most of the time. The head unit is the biggest piece of shit ever too. BUt now i will be able to listen to music the right way. This is what im going to put in it... 2 - 4 inch 3-way speakers for the front doors 2 - 6x9 inch 5-way speaker for the rear deck 2 - 12 inch subs for the trunk A good head unit with plenty of power for just the speakers an Amp for the subs its obviously not going to be the best system you have ever seen but i want something rather than nothing. are there any suggestions to what else i should put in it?
Oh I'd also spend the money for dynamat, its sound deadening material that stops your car from rattling and makes the sound alot more crisp.
oh yeah i just heard of dynamat whilel researching. and yeah it is going into a 1989 volvo 240 dl. not the hottest car on th elot but it works for me. they go forever and mine is in mint condition an dit only has 61,000 mi on it
you'll need a decent amp. look into rockford fosgate amps/subs. kicker 12's will rock hard too. look at pioneer for a high quality ever-lasting head unit. hi-fonics amps are good too
I have a 02' BMW 325i. In the trunk, i got 1 '12 inch sony xplod(400 watts) and 1 '15 inch eclipse(1,500 watts max) thats powered by a 750 watt "Boston Acoustic" amp. I just bought a Rockford Fosgate Capacitor. Shit pounds.
Brotha, answer these for me; what kinda music plan to listen to in the car, heavy bass hip hop shit or vocals and instruments, alternative , heavy metal or whatever. How much you plannin on spendin? and where are you located?
i got some rap with crazy bass, but i still want to hear what they are saying. And i can spend about 800 or 900 bucks. Im located close to Indianapolis.
check out your local craigslist.. a lot of people on there sell their old sound systems.. usually you can get subs/box/amp all together half the time..
why should i have a super stereo machine in car? 4 reproductors are super, dont need something better.
