if you knew you were going to die...say... 3 minutes in advance.

what song would you put on?

this is my pick.. though it kinda depends on how you die

I like to think that I'll be sitting in a big field and far away I'll see a nuke being dropped and then explode into a giant mushroom cloud, and then get vaporized.

    thats just me

Damn man, this is an intense question.

Maybe I would choose Venetian Snares - Frictional Nevada. It takes about three minutes to really get started though, but even if it we didn't allow for that, it would still be interesting as the moment of my passing would coincide with the rather abrupt transition the song undergoes from slow and melodic to fast, erratic and chaotic.

Or The Velvet Underground - Heroin, because even though the song is about heroin, it often compares that high to dying. I think it would be appropriate.

If I could have more than three minutes I would listen to the first 7 minutes of Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Storm.

I'm forcing myself to stop here. This is rather morbid.

I think Bittersweet Symphony would be most appropriate.

    Covergirl by Rupaul.
    yeeeeh buddy

no but really, i think it depends on how ur gonna die and what mood ur in. i have given a song the award of "i want to die to this song" before and it was Noticed by MuteMath. but that was like years ago. i think now i would pick Bluish or My Girls by Animal Collective. i have the most attachment with those songs, and bluish is one of the best songs ever. i would play My Girls if i wanted to pass on a happy note, bluish on a lil more serious note.

and if the way i was gonna die is by something violent like running into a battlefield or something, i would pick The Heraldic Beak Of The Manufacturer's Medallion by The Sound Of Animals Fighting.
