my parents found out ive been skipping school because dr. fuckface sent them an email saying he was concerned... blah blah blah. then my mom started freaking out and like... having a panic attack . then she yelled at me and said i couldnt get my hair done or my nose pierced, and that they were going to make me talk to the school psychologist and have a meeting with dr. fuckface. then they started calling me dishonest and saying i betrayed them and lost their trust and blahahghsghs;ghsdfvv. theeeen... several minutes later my mom came into my room and explained that they were going to go have a meeting with the stupid IB people at me school, and that they are going to homeschool my for the rest of the year, and then theyll make me go to sarasota high school... which is an ok deal. my mom told me i can still get my hair cut and dyed, but only if i clean my room and make it beautifully spotless by the time she comes home from work tomorrow. she says i cant get my nose pierced until two months from now, and only if im really really good. bleh.
i think youll like homeschool a lot... though i dont know you all that well/at all, so i may be wrong.
if you're homeschooled, technically, going to the school would be cutting class. that blows my mind man
i agree homeschool might be a good idea. it may also help you find out if it is the school enviorment that you dislike or school its self. sometimes things like that get confusing...
hahah. dude i woke up this morning and my first thought was "i want my fucking nose piercing " actually though... i think nose piercings are ugly. i really wanted to get my lip pierced, but my mom would only let me get my nose pierced
waaaaaaaaaaah......... poor baby has to clean her room you did break your parent's trust - they can go to jail for ya skippin school. you trust THEM to go to work every day & support ya until an indefinite time in the future, don't ya? so do your part!
go to jail for her skippin school?! right... that's a joke right? or does that seriously happen in the usa... (you are in the usa right?) hmmm
YES - parents are held responsible for their children's actions, including school attendance. hell, i'm in florida too and now they are threatening parents with jail time for their kids going to a school that's out of their district - schools are assigned by your address, & if you lie about your address to put them in a better/different school... it's slammer time for mama.
Beginning in 1995, a number of states implemented laws that held parents responsible for their children’s crimes through a variety of methods including requiring them to pay for court fees and face serious consequences, even jail time, for failing to adequately supervise their children (Samborn, 1996). As Davies & Davidson (2001) summarized, legislation in every state outlines four mechanisms through which parents can be held responsible: 1) mandated procedural and substantive participation in court proceedings, 2) criminal penalties for the delinquent acts of the minor or their contribution to those acts, 3) penalization for failing to send their children to school and 4) civil liability for the torts of a minor. http://www.crocus.georgetown.edu/reports/parental.involvement.pdf
Theres been a few people here in the UK that have gone to jail cause their kids are skipping school as well
That doesn't sound bad at all... You got yelled at, then everything was resolved and you get to be homeschooled, which you wanted....
