with that new piece of legislation that was passed, can we not download free music anymore???

all the sites i used to use arent working...any1 have a site that still works???:mickey:

 

Not sure which piece of legislation you mean, because SOPA and PIPA were shelved for now but weren't passed, but I think since Megaupload was taken down everybody else probably got scared and shut down..... this is probably what you are seeing, I don't know.

I don't download music anyways so wouldn't know of any sites, before or after, so can't help you there.



EDIT: BTW, if you are downloading music that you are supposed to pay for without paying, it's not "free" it's stealing...... Just so you know.

 

Have you not heard of torrents? ...also no legislation was passed as far as I know.

 

oops just looked it up, it didnt pass..but maybe your right it may have scared sites to shut down...

ive heard of it, no idea what it means..

 

if you can't find music to download illegally you just aren't looking hard enough.

i still download some music... mostly from larger bands who don't need the money more than i do. i won't steal music from smaller artists though, have to support your local music scene!
