57 here, but when the weather changes my knees feel 67. .......................................Alaskan..............................
It seems that there are alot of younger people on here. This forum is soo huge that i guess it would be hard to get a good idea of the average age. cherish the age of 17, i still feel like it at times, but once you start to feel older is when you start to look older(not always good) and act older(not always good). :rolleyes5:
High Alaskan! I do understand the weather/body connection. for me its my belly that feels the weather change. I have never been to Alaska, but always wanted to go. Do you live in an area that has limited sunshine?
Thanks everyone for replying in this newbe's thread. You rae making me feel right at home and keeping me quite entertained for my 8 hours at work today
Hi Steckles: Around Dec.21 is the shortest day in the northern hemisphere. The day starts getting light about 9:45 am and is dark at 3:45 pm, on the other side you can sit out in the yard at 2 am and read a newspaper. On the down side, we can be working out in the garden and really start to drag and realize it's midnight.................Alaskan aka....Dennis
Oh, People and their ages.! It is always such a sad time for me to see so many people who aren't content with the age they are. Every stage in life offers a new perspective, and with each passing year the opportunity for new growth, and exciting change. I would love to hear people feel glad and proud to be the age they are, and love themselves more with every passing year. The original poster said she was 37 and felt like 17. Why not be 37 and feel like 37, and feel vital and alive at 37. ? Growing older is so exciting and challenging.! Accepting and loving these mental and physical changes in yourself, makes for a happy person at any stage of life, (this spirit can be with you in your last breath) . Everyone will grow old and die, why not be friends with that fact ? How has getting older (following the natural progression of time) gotten a bad name.? It is the natural way of all living things. People often lie about their age, saying they are older or younger ! I don't get it ! We "could" all love ourselves exactly the age we are ! There are those who feel like they are too young ,a frustrated, misunderstood ancient one, trapped in a young body. This too is an impatience, and a resistance to experience everything a particular age has to offer. Why would anyone want to get older before they did, a lifetime is really a rather short span of time.! So, if we are not saying we wish we were younger, or we wish we were older, maybe we could just look at everything as perfect, and love ourselves for the age we are.
me too....im liking every year that i grow older...when i said i felt 18.....its that kind of care-freeness im still having(im not struggling to keep it, mind you!) but along with my "care-freeness", im WAAAAAAAAAYY more responsible, and i like my resposibilities.............but I still have fun!!!(Body's starting to take longer to recover......)
I'm 20....patiently waiting till I'm the big 2-1 I've never noticed a change of what it feels like to be one age and than a different one. Perhaps, I'm not observant enough?
