someone who has done shrooms and lsd..

mushrooms leaves me (both uses) with an unstoppable thought loop that restarts every minute or two and is seemingly inescapable. At high doses it leaves you feeling drugged, and you lose much contact with reality, tending to tune in and out of the present, only to forget 80% of what took place when you look back 5 hours later.

Also, I feel that you can not gain nything from mushrooms (in terms of life-changing experience). I had a horrible trip on the weekend (detailed in mushrooms forum) that didnt even change me in anyway afterwards. (which is depressing)


LSD is amazing because you can experience amazing feelings of the senses at low doses, yet still retain the apparent sobriety and clear-headedness of just being kinda "high". It causes you to think deeply and truly, and what you learn will stick with you for days or more afterwards (aka: lifechanging)

 

It's funny because Im the exact opposite. LSD is just fun and imaginative for me, sure it has it's profound moments but overall it is mostly a fun high time, tuning into that glowing place in awareness and laughing at nonsense.
While magic mushrooms have shaken my spirituality so deeply to the core that I feel only physical death itself will top it for me.
I must admit though, I find for some reason I am hyper sensitive to mushrooms and kind of a hard head with LSD.

 

hmm sounds like it can be different for anyone. I guess Im just gonna have to go out into nature on a journey pretty soon to find out what it means to me.

With mushrooms, im not sure if it was because it was my first trip and it was overwhelming or what, but me and my friends kept having to change the song that was playing because we kept getting freaked out /uncomfortable or something.

I hope this doesnt happen with lsd because i just want to relax and go with the flow and enjoy every song...

And someone suggested take em both at the same time...I agree good idea, but I suggest doing em both separately first...dude no worries man, you're ready...and every song will have meaning even after the trip. For example Don McLean's "American Pie" I don't know why the Hell we were listening to it, but the only thing I got out of the song while tripping was thinking that the music was gonna die. If you guys knew how important music is to me, that was a terrifying feeling...wow I'm not trying to scare you haha cuz it wasnt a scary experience. But it made me think what if the music died...like seriously no worries about enjoying every song. I just don't suggest listening to rap that talks about killing people and shit, thats really intense! When you droppin Orjamicman??

shit son, I meant insane underground metalcore. nothing beats sitting in a car with a killer system with your eyes closed, feeling the double bass vibrate your seat, listening to crunchy riffs and soaring guitar solos, and mixing in aggresive/beautiful screaming/singing vocals to tie it all together.

Hmmm.... well when I was using morphine, I loved nothing more than to lay down in a daze nodding out with my head next to a pounding stereo system blasting hip hop. So like I said, rythym, it's what brings us together. It just manifests itself beneath other melodies and harmony

 

honestly I like any sort of music nowadays. as long as it has some sort of rhythm, it is totally listenable, you just have to give it a chance, and stip away your pre-conceived notions of what constitutes "good" music and "poor" music.

Music is just amazing man. All of it!

yeah man me and my friend love Phish so we are gonna make the whole experience dedicated to that. I was gonna drop tomorrow but cant, so maybe sunday or next week sometime...


and for everyone else with the music: well...all music is good, its like judging artwork, man, you just cant really do it, unless it is just unpleasant, but still what is one mans trash is another mans treasure..or something like that lol. I am just gonna listen to what i normally listen to and i know i will be in heaven.
