This may have to be put in a different section, but i thought since i'm married it would be acceptable .

I'm getting Jaw surgery done and i just wanted to know what my husband and I could make smoothie/yogurt
    Soup
etc food for three weeks or more

Any great cheap recipes will be apprecited. I do not have a sweet tooth. So i'm not big on popciplces or puddings or anything like that .

I get my surgery done on Nov 7th I hope everything goes well.

    Thanks in advance

Wow. Man... I don't mean to be harsh, but how does your being married make the slightest bit of difference? Try the foods forum.

when i had my wisdom teeth pulled i pretty much lived off of yogurt, consomme (beef broth soup, essentially) and mashed potatoes. plus crackers that kind of melt in your mouth (bretons, for example). suuuper soft chicken (ie cooked in broth in a slow cooker or somesuch) you could probably check out after a week or two, as long as you can cut it really small and kind of mush it with your tongue. ditto for steamed vegetables (just steam them more than you normally would). apple sauce was really good too, especially since you can get unsweetened varieties.. soft flaky fish might be something to investigate a week or two in as well
