Terrible sport, most boring sport to watch on tv besides golf. I'm sure I would enjoy it more if I went to a pro game. But I'd definitely prefer to go to a hockey game first out of those two.

Only comparable sport to soccer to me.

I have met people who are like you but once they go to a real football match and experience the Ultras, the chanting, the pre game bar, and the Derby/Classico. They tents to be come fans.

    Honduras since 2001.
    CD Olimpia my Family's team.

I even mentioned that in my post id probably enjoy an actual game. I don't enjoy watching it on tv and don't get caught up in all this nationalist pride of the world cup, especially for random countries I don't live in.

Well hockey is pretty much soccer with sticks.

So I don't see how you can like one and hate the other.

Football is a great sport, my team is AC Milan, and has been since I was 8 years old.

However, I haven't really been following it too closely for the past few years, it's difficult where I am. Usually they only show English football, and even when they do show a match worth watching, it's at like 3 am, which doesn't work out for me - especially without a television, there's just no way I'm getting up at two in the morning to go to a bar and watch a match.

And why does everyone like Man utd?

I don't particularly like hockey either, I've yet to attend that event but hockey is played on a smaller in bounds, moving at a much quicker pace with people getting checked into glass. Fights are not broken up until someone hits the ground.

A world cup played American football would be amazing. Instead of England celebrating beating the French 2-0 we could have a score that read England: 35- France: 3 at the end of :coffee:60 minutes.

uh, no. they do have sporting events in which the participants are not professionals...

like, when i was in high school, i would go to all my school's basketball games and enjoy watching them, because my friends were on the team. i can't watch a bunch of strangers playing basketball professionally though.
