I was at college, downloading mp3's and lestening to CD's on the college laptops, about 6 hours after it happened. The shear scale of what had happened did not hit me until I got home and saw New York as a cloud of dust on TV. Anyone else?
At school. they told everyone right before lunch. I didn't really care too much though, I just wanted to go to lunch and get a pizza from the snackbar I know...I'm horrible...
ha, Los Angeles, Ca...I had a package in my room that was supposed to be delivered on the top floor of one of the tallest buildings in dowtown LA at 9am.......someone from back east called me at around 6 when it was happening....needless to say I didn't fucking work that day....especially considering my bosses were mysterious Iranians who yelled a lot
I saw a coworker walking grimly into work. Asked "what's up" and he said "Terrorists blew up the Twin Towers". I didn't believe him til I got into work and everyone was glued to their PCs
my stepdad was driving me to school, I just started hearing the story and then we were there and i had to get out (he was late for work). I thought it was a joke at first. thought Diana's death was a joke the first time I heard it too.
i was at the ramada inn in billings montana with the most fasinating woman i have ever known, she had gone to the front desk to get another coffee packet and i turned on the news just in time to see the second plane hit. when she got back i ask her if she heard, she said she had. we made another pot of coffee, made love for hour or so then went about our buisness for the day. never mentioning it again
I was at home and thought I'd watch the news so I change the channel and they are talking about what happened.. Then all of a sudden I seen the second tower go down.. Very sad.
i was outside hugging a tree when i heard a plane hit the wtc... i thought, it must be really foggy in nyc today. when i heard a second plane hit, i thought, it must be really really foggy
i did too i was going to my third class and waited at the door and everyone came out saying stuff like 'the presidents dead' and a bunch of shit, so then my teacher told me everything. the rest of the day was more disbelief and false attention, most people didnt really care but they pretended to.
I was just getting to school, my first period teacher has some relative in New York and was on the phone with her while it was going on.. Then later I heard the pentagon was hit etc.. The rest of the day everyone just kind of watched the news and such.
I had just walked into work that day and everyone was standing around a TV in the main call center area watching CNN. I didn't think anything of it. I thought some nut lost control of a plane and it hit the tower, until I realized what had actually happened. Yeah, I actually expected us to start dropping bombs.
i was in school, when I heard about it I got pissed off cause I wanted to go in that restaurant near the top. the whole floor spins slowly as you eat.
I was sleeping when it happened. I woke up about 10:45 that morning because I didn't have college classes that day. The first thing I did when I got up was log onto the internet, and that's when I found out.
