Hail kiwis, Well, here's my plan... I'm visiting your country in the month of June. The plan is to look for a niche so that at some point, I might stay permenently. I'm an experienced performer; some classical, but mostly jazz / contemporary. My weapon of choice is the piano, but I've also been known to play the saxophone and a couple of other sundries. I'm a martial artist trained in gongfu and also certified in Taijiquan (tai chi) I also have a penchant for teaching and it is my understanding that NZ is hurting for secondary / tertiary teachers right now.... seems like the perfect time to go. The plan is to land in Auckland, and make my way down the country - hostel to hostel... or perhaps find a friendly bed here and there. Any artists down there that can reccommend a few public jam sessions around the towns? Anybody have any thoughts about Auckland or Wellington? Anybody care to chat with a poor wandering yank?
