Just wondering who out there has a sled or likes going out with a buddy that has one? I guess the question is pretty much limited to Canadians and Northern USA and Europe... Here in the Canadian prairies about all we have to do in the winter is eat, drink, smoke, fuck, and ride sleds pretty good deal I guess... If anyone isn't familiar with a snowmobile just think of a motorcycle without gears, that's harder to tip over, and speeds over snow. One of the coolest toys of all time
yea, they're pretty fun. when i did ski, i loved skilling down hills and getting pulled back up by a snowmobile
You can also get a kit for one if you dont have enough snow in your area. I guess it adds wheels. I saw them racing on dirt on tv.
Oh yeah, snowmobiles are so fun. Though I'm a little bit traumatized as one time I nearly hit a reindeer with it.
I have only been on one once in my life at my uncles house years ago, my cousins and I had a ball racing it by the corn field, That thing would really hall.
:leaving:< Thread. I live in England. I'd love to be able to use one thogh. It won't be long before it all changes... Global warming and all.
sorry I assumed more Northern European countries would have snow, I've never been there to see for myself... Actually I've seen those conversions too, last summer at a drag strip 2 guys had sleds with wheels on the skis and a different track, they ran close to drag bike times
Never been on one...they used to scare the shit outta me though when I was sledding and would be walking back up the hill and the snow mobiles would come down the hill real fast and it would seem like they were gonna run us over.
I gave mine to my sister a couple years ago cuz I never rode it anymore. I shouldn't have because she hasn't even looked at it since I did.
I've sworn off snowmobiles after reading about a guy in Maine who was snowmobiling along a country road, and was beheaded when he encountered a wire (which originally held a no trespassing sign) across the road. The head was severed completely from the torso :leaving: Hotwater
you mean a four wheeler?? LOL jk... nah dude... we LIVE for stuff like that... everybody up here has atleast 1 sled.. and a 4wheeler or dirtbike for the summer months its crazy awesome.... we have 3 and usually we've had them out by now but we're still riding around on the four-wheelers because guess what NO SNOW! its flippin sucks I cant wait though...ohh wells I still get to play in the mud on my four wheeler so hell Im happy and hotwater do you still ride fourwheelers or anything like that? because when I was 14 that damn near happend to me instead I just broke a bunch of ribs and lost a kidney was pretty flipping crazy.. I was driving down a dirtroad to a gravel pit where we always used to ride but the flipping township but a cable across the road to keep people out and didnt bother to mark it.. thank god I was by myself because if I hadnt been I would've been looking back towards the other guys and wouldnt have noticed the branch in the middle of it.... so I had time to turn right quick... threw me off the fourwheeler and into the tree but the fourwheeler landed ontop of me... thankfully the dude down the road knew about it and came to check because I would have internally bled to death if it wasnt for him... so sled-fourwheeler doesnt matter you can get killed or sliced in half just as quick on either of em...
I was watching 'Snow day' the other day. I'd have loved to have had a few feet of snow stopping me from going to school.. Then jumping on one and at break neck speed [with out removing my head on the way] getting to school on one. How cool would that be. In reality it has snowed once , that prevented me from going to school. That was only because the heating broke down. Since then [about 87]. It has not snowed that much, maybe a inch or so. Hardly anything to write home about.
