Kinda skeptical.. who does this alot? With spring break coming up and lots o buds I may just smoke em outside. Share some tricks?? This is a risky operation
i've done it a bunch, just make sure you request a room where smoking is allowed to be safe... though i'm not sure how many motels even have smoking rooms anymore
I have a room already but its not smoking... i think there are fines for smoking in a non smoking if you get caught, might there be other legal precautions?
I've done this quite a bit. My advice would be get a motel (one story) where the rooms all are in a row. This way the smoke that goes up wont have a possibility of being detected by people upstairs. If the room is full of smoke detectors, smoke in the bathroom with the fan on. If there aren't many smoke detectors, then smoke smoke smoke. If all else fails, take a walk.
My GF works at a hotel and she is forced to ask customers to leave the hotel every night because of smoking weed in their rooms. If they get one complaint they have to handle it, and they will call the cops if you don't leave when asked. Even if its just cigs or something legal, they will still ask you to leave and/or call the cops. Its policy, and I assume its universal at most big name hotels. That being said I've had no problem smoking weed in any hotel I've ever stayed in. Just use common sense.
Get a vaporizer, problem solved. I did this recently, no problems at all. If you order from Amazon, you'll have it quick. I have an Arizer Solo, and I love it. I wouldn't try smoking in a hotel room, especially a non-smoking one. Before the law changed I did share a bowl with a friend in a hotel room, but it was a smoking room, and we had no problems either. But, the law isn't like that here anymore and I wouldn't risk it-it's not worth it.
i've smoked in a bunch of hotel rooms with no problems and no real precautions. that said, my friend has a job where he travels a lot for work, and one of his co-workers was caught smoking in his room a couple weeks ago. they flew him back home and fired him immediately.
I know someone who was asked to leave and then a service charge for cleaning the room was added to their bill, to the sum of $200 extra.
Well, been my experience while following the Dead. if the entire floor is deadheads, who's going to know it was you?...
i 2nd the vaporizer suggestion. i just stayed in a nice, non-smoking room and took my arizer extreme with me. i vaped SEVERAL bags and there was no problem. the fine for smoking was $200 if i were to have gotten caught
Wow thanks guys for all the relevant info. for this trip it's best outside. vape is on the shopping list now too!
First thing we did when we entered the U.K. via Dover. Booked a room, there was an ash tray, we got the stuff out of the peanutbutter and toked and headed to the pub :cheers2: Edit: I remember I had a pic of it, you can even spot the peanutbutter
if you ARE going to smoke inside... plastic bag + rubber bands on smoke alarms wet towels underneath doors smoke in bathroom with steam and fan
ive lived in hotels for years working never had a problem once. and if its spring break relax the cops will be busy with other things.
I worked in a hotel and if we recieved complaints about someone smelling smoke (we were 100% no smoking hotel) we would have to go to the floor and around the room we would have to spray odor neutralizer. If we still recieved a call, we would move the person complaining about the smell to a different floor. If you are going to the smoke in the room heres some tips. Put on your do not destrub sign. Housekeeping and memebers of the hotel are not allowed to go into your room. You will however not be able to get service from the housekeepers. The only people allowed to go into a room without your concent are the police or firemen. And this is if the hotel called the police or firemen. We get couples fighting loudly or get people have parties when other guests call the police. But if we the hotel staff smell weed, we cant go into your room. If the police smell weed in the hotel, they arent going to go into everyroom to try to find it because that would look bad to the hotel and the guests. also keep in mind that the air controling systems like the a/c units, are mostly connected to other rooms so the smoke does travel. Get a room with a balcony and if your going for the balcony room, you might as well upgrade to the jazzuci suite lol. The best way is go into a smoking room, and smoke there.
I did it once in a fancy shmancy hotel in connecticut, but only in the bathroom. However, they did have rooms where smoking was allowed, and we blazed in these freely. I'd try to get one if I were you.
