Hi all, I was wondering if like me any of you has had trouble or been abused for having long hair? I have very thick long hair and have recently have two incidents involving young skinhead girls who have abused and in the 2nd incident actually attacked and beaten me. I had my hair grabbed and head pulled back over and over. It seems that my long hair is a magnet for them to have a go at me!
I've been stopped and searched by the police several times simply for looking like a hippy. On one occasion 2 cops tried to provoke me by asking me things like how long it was since I had a bath. They wanted me to retaliate so they could give me a slapping and put it down to self defense, but I kept my cool. Some of my friends, both male and female, were once set upon by a gang of at least 20 teenage males and kicked unconsious just because they had long hair. It just goes to prove that they (the police and the gang) we're complete morons. Don't worry about the brain-dead skinheads, they're opportunists, if you weren't around at the time they would have picked on someone else for having the wrong type of clothes or whatever.
You are indeed lucky then. The girl who sorted me out was not to be messed with. She was only about 14 but absoloutly beat me,, and i'm 46! After she had finished with me i was hanging off a wall and she wiped her hands on my tumbling tresses!! Not nice,,,
Its crazy i have thick kinda long hair not pass my shoulders but its crazy when u have old ladys calling me a girl and they no i am a guy
We have skinheads in abundancy here in Europe... they usually keep calm though and never bother me. I once was at a sort of bar and one from a group of skinheads said I was cool, I only met him once, and hadn't talked to him much (and didn't either afterward), it was weird.
im used to skinheads. my sister went out with one haha and the people he hung out with in chicago... well they wernt too good of people. i mean my sister was never a skinhead. but i know a few. and ive never had any trouble with them. and regardless if the girl is 14 or not, she could prob still kick some ass. especially if she thinks she can, and if she has a weapon. she can be very very intimidating. and these days, parents cant do much sorry to say haha. besides send the kid away. if ur getting harrassed by people, u should keep a cell phone on u and something to protect urself besides a gun. next time u might not be lucky enough to walk away, if she is a real skinhead. they dont mind beating the shit out of people and leaving them and letting them die. peace~ and be careful man
Well this 14 year old could certainly "kick ass" , namely mine!! I have had these two incidents now, the first time i was just picked on and abused with refernces to my hair, the 2nd i made the unfortunate mistake of while on a bus, bending down to pick something up and then throwing my head back which meant my hair went all over the skinhead girl, that's when she saw red big time,, beat the crap out of me! But hey she certainly won't stop me tossing my hair people,,, peace to all!!
I hate to be on a downer, but i have had more trouble with the skinhead gang round here, who have decided i am fair game as a hippie who they despise. This time i was told to cooperate or else, so had no choice. There were two girls and one had one of those mobiles you can film with. too terrified to do anything but obay them i was picked up by one of them and had to hang in her arms as if i was dead while the other filmed it, showing off her "Kill" I just hung there, helpless my hair tumbling down to the ground playing dead for them. They finally let me go,, but it's hard having long hair round here,, really hard people!! Keep the faith,,,
Why don't you: a) report them to the police? or b) learn martial arts? I'd personally go for option b, I've been studying martial arts for several years now and not only are they good for your mind body and spirit, you can also use them to defend yourself with incredible efficiency. I'm a pascifist by nature, but if anyone tried to attack me I wouldn't hesitate to defend myself. If someone attacks you they are not just attacking you, they are attacking your whole family and all those who depend on you or love you, and as such deserve what they get if the person they pick on knows how to defend themselves. If you think this goes against the peace loving pascifist nature of hippies just remember that the majority of martial arts were developed by buddhist monks so they could defend themselves against attackers.
I fear you have to spend a lot of training-time, till you are really good at martial arts. I don't know if Rosie has time to do that. I wouldn't have the time to do it... And the problem is, they come always in groups of about seven to ten persons. Here are some agressive Skinheads, too. I tried to learn all about skinhead symbols and ther meeting points etc.. so I can recognize them before they see me and avoid them. And at night, I never go out of the house alone. It's simply too dangerous. A friend who is very strong was beaten half to death by them... they were too many.
You can learn to defend youself against one or two attackers very effectively within about two years in martial arts. Groups of seven or ten are a different matter, avoiding them or running away very fast is about all you can do against groups like that. Or maybe shooting them.
And did you even try and defend yourself from these girls? I mean FUCK! There were only two of them, two CHILDREN. You don't have to be above hitting kids, I'm not.
What!!! You must be joking. Cut my hair? And let them win, no way, i would rather die than lose my long tresses!! They were two 14 year old skinhead girls,, i am 46 , they were a) too young b) too strong and c) too tough! I had to just obey them, it was bad enough hanging in the girls arms pretneding to be dead without making the situation worse and end up hanging in her arms really dead!! If a teenage skinhead girl orders me to knell before her i'm going to obey her, and whatever else she says, until help arrives,, i've got no death wish!
I've been growing my hair, and not getting it cut. I haven't had any trouble except for my parents. My parents, especially my mother, are being asshole about it and try to "bribe" me to get me to go to the barber. They piss me off and I'm not fdsnarf cutting my hair. Most everybody hates skinheads here, and I don't even know any. There are tons of guys with hair much longer than me at my school and even some of the male teachers have long hair.
I've got a bald head skinheads are easy....just kick them till they stop twitching....one of the few people i can't stand. Erm...unless yer a pacifist of course....:H
