Why isn't there a thread about them yet? They're my favourite ever ska/punk band! Their music is so energetic and uplifting, and all their lyrics deal with leftist core values... pacifism, human and animal rights, anti-globalisation, etcetera (I don't speak Spanish but with my mad French skillz (yo) I can still understand what most songs are roughly about). It really sucks that I only discovered them after they'd split up...

Why are you still reading this, go get a hold of some of their stuff! :p

Oh... well I think a Ska-P thread belongs in the reggae & ska forum so I didn't look there.

Listen to Planeta Eskoria, Eurosis and Que Corra La Voz!! :)

Do you maybe know some site with translation of their songs?...I found that kind of site for Rammstein, I thought there might be for Ska-P as well.....

No, I haven't, which sucks because their lyrics are an important part of the music of course. I've looked, but couldn't find anything. If I still find anything I'll let you know. :)

    Thanx :)
Have you heard of Elvis Jackson?...It's a ska/punk band from Slovenia, they're great, maybe even better than Ska-P, and their lyrics are in english so you can know what they are singing about :)....I've just been on their concert last night, they were great and their singer is a great guy, you gotta hear them...

I don't like a lot of ska... i don't even know a lot of ska. I just know/like a little bit of everything. All i know is that Ska-P is awesome and I hope Elvis Jackson is, too. :)

Hahaha, this is pretty awesome. :D

They're certainly a really fun band, and more diverse than Ska-P - EJ's ska parts are more ska and their punk parts are more punk, add some straight on reggae and rock and roll influences and you get a really cool result - but Ska-P just holds a special place in my heart.

Still, Elvis Jackson is super duper cool. Thanks for this discovery!

You're very welcome!...You really figured them out well and I'm glad I helped raising another EJ fan :) I think that their concert at BeerFest was one of my greatest moments this year (and there were more than 20 concerts at BeerFest!), even though I had much fun this year ;).....
Which music do you like, btw?.....
And, sorry for not replying, I was away these last 10 days....

A tiny little bit of everything. Mostly black metal (the atmospheric kind), some darkwave, some old (psych)rock, some ska/punk/oi!, some contemporary singer-songwriters. I'm always looking for something new. What do you like, except for EJ and S-P?

No need to apologise, I figured you'd be back here in due time. :)

If you ever have more cool music I should try out, just let me know!

Oh sorry I asked about your music taste, I just saw a list at your myspace page and it's loooooooooooong :) And, oh my god, you're only the second person I met, who knows what TheIncredibleStringBand is!...A friend of mine (who I met here at hipforums) recomended it to me and when I found it at last I was stunned, they're great....
I also like a little bit of everything, for example, my favs are Janis, Aerosmith, Stevie Ray Waughan, Femi and Fela Kuti, but also Depeche mode, Scissor sisters, Gnarls Barkley, Amy Whinehouse, blues, lots of serbian rock....I think that you could find good music in any genre.......
Now, there's one...well, let's say drum'n'base band from Portugal or Brazil (I'm not sure), its name is Kaleidoscopio and it's fantastic....
Anything you could recomend to me?......:)
