i just had my first trip Thursday into Friday. They pretty much exaggerate life, and all the senses. Makes everything surreal, and you can feel the effects rolling through your body. Thoughts will races, speech becomes more articulated, everything is fascinating. But really, dosage is what determines the experience.

    No, it really doesn't.

And to the OP: try them and see.

True. I have eaten upwards of 6 grams and tripped lightly.

The most profound experience I have had was from 1.5 grams.

Kind of. That's still a dosage-related variable. It's mostly about set & setting. Just remember: it's all in your head.

Last time i did shrooms i was talking to a piece of streamer, that i thought was a mouse. also, i was imagining things being made in factories and such. but i was also drinking a bit. and i dont know if that would have any effect on it.

You will never really know what it's like to trip until you do. I remember all my research online and was shocked when I actually did them.

yeah, at first you may feel like you're going to vomit, and you may actually do it :)

to the op: i have plenty of experience with psilocybian mushrooms and am intimately familiar with them, though not quite to the extent of a few other members on this board.

and it is not so much that it cannot be described as it is extremely difficult to describe, and there are myriad states which you may access through the mushrooms, and as such sound generalizations are extremely difficult to come by. it is so alien yet familiar, so transcendent an experience that words fail me.

beyond these issues, one with absolutely no experience with psychedelics can not fathom the profundity of the experiences described. even the best and most beautifully penned description of a psychedelic trip would leave you every bit as ignorant about what it is really like and how it really feels as you were before. in my opinion, the experience transcends our linguistic grasp of reality to such an extent that discussing the experience as such is really only possible between individuals with a shared base of first hand knowledge. sort of like trying to describe colors somebody blind since birth.

That is probably the best way of saying it.
