I have a weird sore spot under my left breast. Last night, I showed my mom (she's pretty good about that kind of thing), and she says she thinks it's a rash. It does make sense, I work at a haunted house and a couple weeks back, I had a bad reaction to the makeup one night when I didn't get it all off. I got a nasty rash that spread like wildfire all over the place, including places that I didn't have make-up on, like under my arms and on my legs. So it could possibly be from that.

But that rash has been gone for awhile now, and the spot under my breast feels really different. The skin is very dry and red, but it's still smooth. It doesn't itch at all, it just hurts. It smells funny. I'm serious. When I lift that breast, there's this weird smell that comes off it, even after I wash it.

I wondered at first is my bra was causing it. I've had my bra off most of the day, and it was definitely irritating it, but it doesn't seem to be the problem. The sore spot is still there.

I'm just trying to figure out if my mom's right and it's just a rash left over from my last rash, or if it's something that I should get checked.

I used to have a small dry patch under my breast, over time it got larger and I did contemplate seeing the doc, but I put it off
I ended up losing a lot of weight and due to my breasts getting smaller the patch disappeared.
You said that it smells abit,so perhaps you should see your doc or get an antifungal cream from the pharmacist? It could be a bit infected?

You could have gotten it from your breast rubbing agianst something too much. Since in smells it is probably infected or something.

It sounds like an infection of some type. Maybe from a boil or a cyst that ruptured due to the friction of your breast rubbing against something, such as a bra or shirt?

I'd get it looked it by a dermatologist or a regular physician. You might need an antibiotic to clear the infection, or maybe some type of antibiotic salve to ease discomfort and promote healing. I wouldn't cover it with a bandaid if I were you, unless told otherwise by your doctor. You should let it get air until you get it checked out.

    Hugs...

Well, it seems to be healing, now. If I have any more problems, I'll go see a doctor.
