Hey, the deodorant thread got me thinking... How many of you all-natural belly-button owners shave? This thread is directed more at women, since it's the norm for women in Western culture now to be "smooth" and hair-free and men can choose whether or not to grow a beard... I didn't shave for about 4 years (this is armpits and legs and everything else we're talking here) but never felt entirely comfortable since I was in the minority, and I always felt like people were staring... So, I just shaved here recently... But personally, I am against the idea that women (or men) who are hairy are gross and dirty, and that women HAVE to shave. To me, it promotes an idea that getting older (which naturally comes with hair) is a bad thing. What do you think? Do you shave? Do you have a problem with people who don't?
nope, I'd much rather be hairy than itchy and scratchy or with razor burn all over. I do trim my armpit hair when it gets way too long, but I don't ever shave it anymore.
I just love the feeling of nice smooth legs. The itchiness just gets on my nerves, especially when I'm in bed.
I do it while I'm in the shower. That system works out pretty well. But sometimes I won't shave for 4-5 days because I'm that lazy.
i shave my face, because i hope it will help me grow a beard, but once i get a decent beard going, dont think i will shave.
I don't shave my armpits, but I do shave my legs. I just really don't like the look of hairy girl legs, but I'm pretty much infatuated with my armpit hair. I find something about it super attractive. I'm still at the stage where I'm a little subconcious of it when I wear a sleeveless shirt out, but whatever, I shouldn't be. Women that don't shave are basically my heros.
few things. I love a good beard on a man, my friends make fun of me to no end when I am distracted by a guy who resembles grizzly adams and they are staring at an ashton kutcher clone. i like to be smooth, but i won't lie, currently i haven't shaven in a few days but then again no one is seeing or feeling my legs bare. armpits yea i normally shave, every two or three days, unless i forget. plus, nothing feels better than shaving your legs and jumping in bed after you've been hairy for so long. the idea that you're dirty isn't true though. i don't think men are dirty for not shaving, they're probably just a lot warmer. ha.
I agree harry potters wheel, I like the facial hair also. Do any of you wonder, if it wasn't the norm to shave, and you hadn't started when you were in jr high or high school and continued on all these years, if you would have grown up in a hairier society, don't you think you would feel weird to be bare?
I wonder about that all the time. Like literally, I can't stop thinking about it. Apart from when I'm having my electro-shock therapy but I can't really think about anything when I'm having that.
i don't agree with underage dreadlocks. it's so forcing your beliefs on those too young to be able to form their own.
