is there such a thing as a girl being shallow? its not a problem i have or anything, i wound know...i was just thinking about it, cus no one ever talks of that as a problem , so i didnt know if it even existed... does it???
Hehehe, well you should know from my stories...Yes, they can be. I've found alot to be, but that's just me. I'm NOT saying all are, because they're not, but alot I have met are extremely shallow, moreso than most guys.
yeah, both men and women, hell, anyone, can be shallow. it's not that men are more shallow, or women are more shallow... there's a vast degree of individual differences. to be shallow is to lack intellect, emotion, or knowledge. so yeah, this can apply to anyone.
part of being shallow is lacking emotions. do you consider those same women more emotionally shallow than the guys you know? and what people are you basing this on? if you're judging individuals based on your relationship to them, you're going to have a very biased opinion. for example, you're more likely to see your close male friend as not being shallow, because he doesn't act that way towards you. but if a girl shoots you down when you hit on her, you might automatically lable her as being shallow. and there's a chance that the girl who shot you down is actually a lot less shallow than your friend. people tend to treat those they date different from their friends, so that could skew your opinion. i definitely don't know the individuals you're basing this on, so hopefully i'm not being offensive. i just figured i might try and offer up the other side. i'm not offended by your comment, i'm just honestly curious. gender roles have always interested me. also, with gender stereotypes, people are more likely to see a greater variation of traits within their 'ingroup' but see the 'outgroup' as conforming to their stereotypes much more.
everyone has a certain level of shallowness i guess...it's part of who we are as species... however, it varies greatly according to each individuals' values and identity. I dont think you can generalise and say girls are shallow or boys are shallow cos not everyone is the same. But i can say that the more inmature the person, the more shallow she/he is. (in my experience)
lawngirl said it all... i've got nothin. but yeah... anyone can be shallow. shallow-ness is not dependent on gender. and i've met many women who are just as much "pigs" as men; they just get called something different. isn't it interesting how our society percieves similarities between men and women as differences? hmm... men aren't called sluts. they're called pigs. and women... they're not called chovanistic. they're called brats. but it's all the same, really. just a matter of how you percieve it. but the labels themselves can carry a very different weight, depending on their gender affilliation... don't they? label a man as a slut... label a woman as one... which carries the heavier insult? what's that all about? SOCIAL CONDITIONING! don't buy into it, man. men and women are different, but they're more the same than most would care to believe. forget all that garbage. it impairs your thinking, man. open your mind.
haha oh wow... now that i re-read it... i should really put down the pipe. well, in that case, it depends on what you consider shallow. i know "depth" varies from person to person... what's the average, 4-5 inches? something like that? so i guess it's possible, if it were only 2 inches deep. you'd probably get your cervix bumped a lot. ow.
HAHAHA LOL no, i was talking about depth lol though all that insite about shallowness mentally was nice to know lol though i personally think that woman can b a lot more shallow then men at times, and im only saying that cus im a girl and i see how allthe girls think lol but yea, depth, cus iv never heard of that as being a problem, so ididnt know if it existed , and if so if it IS a problem.
some girls are shallow because they have to be sometimes because of what society says is acceptable or where they work. I am sure there are women who are truley shallow inside but for the majority I think it's a tendency to conform rather than a deep seeded interest in physical appearance.

i think the average 'depth' is about 4-5 inches... so if a girl's 2" deep, that would be less than average, which i guess would then consitute shallow... but i don't know if there are disorders where someone can only be two centemeters deep or something extreme. i'm sure it's possible, but i imagine it to be extremely rare. i guess it depends on how deep you consider shallow to be, and how big it can expand to be.
