if i'm buying nugs, i actually like bags with a lot of shake. if you get a shakey bag of nugs from the bottom of say a QP bag of it, you're not only gonna get the nugget part of it, you'll get a lot of the trichomes that have broken off of the nugs from moving around in the bag, being handled roughly, and having buds broken into smaller peices for sale. shake is also usually drier, and if the bigger buds are still moist, then buying nugget shake gets you more dry matter for your money as well as more thc! a shakey bag of mids, on the other hand, wont be more potent and actually will generally be a little worse, and is likely to contain more hard stems and seeds. shake is better for rolling joints, though, but i'd usually prefer to just break it up myself. plust theres something beautiful about a nice, big nug rather than a bag of nug shake...
what the differences you buy 7 grams of shake you get 7 grams of pregrinded marijuana you buy 7 grams of bud you get 7 grams of marijuana, seeds, and stalks
i find it harder to find all the seeds in a bag of middies shake than when i have to break it up though. with shake they're all hidden and blend in well and you dont notice until its too late....if you're breaking up the bud, you see where they are and can remove them one by one so you aren't smoking them.
i break up my nugs into shake, i just like the process and i'venoticed when i get stuff that has more shake than usual i also get more leaves
most shake i know is.. leaf and hairs mainly. rarelyl do i come across shake with much bud in it... therefor it gets you less high as well as the fact that its all from the outer edge of the plant when the bud is best in a layer thats not in the middle or on the surface but in a layer thats why i prefer bud..
I have no problem with smokin some shake, but it tends to be more harsh than nugs. Plus, breaking up some high grade nugs is quite an experience.
well.... when you're willin to pay top dollar for great bud... seeds... and stems.. usually become a minimal problem... i think i've found like 4 seeds in the last... say year or so... and well... i dont mind a big fat stem from some dank bud... they taste sooooo damn good when ya chew on'em... but usually i buy a bag of nug with smaller buds so that the stem factor is at a minimum
it was funny... my boyfriend got a couple of zones of weed.. and we smoked it all up, right? well all the had left was shake, and a bag of schwag from like forever ago... so we rolled up the shake in some blunts and smoked it right up... got REAL high... then a while later, we smoked the schwiggy schwag and didnt get very high... its kinda sad when nugget shake (the part like no one really likes) will get you higher than schwag (which is weed people actually pay money for!) i dont know it kinda made me laugh, anyways...
i just tossed some shake in my bong, and bag idea it left a shity taste in it, so i changed the water, poped in some hash, and a pice of cronic to get the nasty taste out of it.
With shake you don't know what the fuck your getting. It could be half oregano for all you know but with bud, its all there in 1 solid form and IMO bud maintains its freshness 10 times longer than shake. All the THC crystals are still intact along with any other chemicals that would be crushed up and most likely degraded in quality if it were in shake form. And if its good bud, there probably wont be any seeds, 1 or 2 sticks at most so I don't know why anyone would prefer shake over bud other than the convenience of it being pre-ground.
the shake in this area is mainly the remnants that have fallen off the nice cured nugs. the fresh weed i get doesnt really make much shake. its the reaalllly cured and dried nugs which tend to create shake. these nugs are dank nugs, dont get me wrong, so the shake too tends to be of good quality. i am actually hiigh right now off of a bag of orange krush i boughtoff my friend and it was quite alot of shake but of good quality none the less. shake is good for rollin up quick j's. and if its fine shake it is good and easy to take the seeds and stems out. also nice to sprinkle on tops of bowls, as it has been said, and when you get good shake here it is almost of the quality of kief. so basically i love shake and you all should too because it is good
