my knappys are really seperated and i was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to get it where its more.. full looking. cut them in half (eek)? undo some of them, and let nature take its course? and if i undo them, i'm scared cause my hair is very fragile (from having taken out the first set i had oh so long ago), and i don't want to break the hair off.. yeah...
i'm not seeing what u mean by them being seperated but, a question what have u done to em to get em started & all? they look like maybe u used wax? u shouldnt have to ever do anything except like after u wash em, just seperate them at the base so 2 dont grow together which i dont see much happinin to yours like that but can u try to explain lil more what u mean? they dont look bad at all, just looks like u maybe used wax & shouldnt have..but its hard to tell
like... see the areas i circled: its gaps between the dreads... and i wish they were more full. and no, i dont use wax. ever. they were put in by twist and rip, then i let nature take its course after.
ok ithink i understand as u seperate em by rippkng the bsasses apart u will get loose hairs in the gaps that will eventualy form lil new baby dreads i'm thinkin when u put em in u just took lil too large of sections but as they grow in lil more they;ll look better & fill in how longs it been? couple months or so? im thinkin what your talking about is just cause u have maybe 30 thick dreads..instedd of 70 thin ones.. so u get that more gappy look... but as they grow a bit they'll lay better & look fine
cause 1. i had to go to court and get my misdemeanor removed. somehow i didnt think the judge would believe a dreadhead isnt a party kid. and 2. i didn't want professionally done ones anymore.
i've had them since mid-august. but they tightened real fast, so i've been worried its always going to be gappy.
when u wash em just keep pullin em aparrt at the base..you'll get lil short hairs & once u get enough between the dreads lil new babies will form fillin in the gaps i'm always finding new dreads forming all over plus as they grow & everything they'll justhang more naturaly instead of the sorta stickin out thing..& that will make gaps less noticable ithink thyre lookin good tho..
^ Not so helpful eh'? JK hahahaha.. anyways yeah the thicker the dreads are the bigger the gap also shrinkage will make gaps like mine are doing now :x
Just like soaringeagle said I guess. They'll get thicker in time, you'll get new little dreadies of loose hair etc. Just let time do it's thing.
i have noticed with mine and only have had since july that as my hair grows they fill in,,, the shorties in front are beginning to fall over the back of my head n fill in my empty err grey spots
