sending a letter out of state

ok, i'm in missouri and i am sending a letter, just a letter, to california.

Do i have to put anything special on the envelope other than a stamp?

I'm sure the employees in a post-office can answer any questions you have... I live in Romania, so I don't know much about sending letter to another state in the US...

 

Oops, apparantly you have to also dip the bottom left corner of the envelope in the blood of an uncircunsized, unbabtized, baby boy on the 3rd wednesday in July while humming the theme song from T.J. Hooker and picking your nose.
