Self-Righteous AntiChristmas Bullshit

Theres some people who actually enjoy the Christmas season and I'm one of them. I get damned sick and tired of being told about how wrong I am for enjoying the Holidays. I'm going to sit in my chair next to my Christmas tree with Christmas lights blazing both inside my house and outside and have me an Egg-nog with a shot of Jack Daniels in it.

 

That's a Rupert Murdoch created non issue, and we all get dumber every time it's repeated.

It's a bit unfair to suggest Rupert Murdoch sits at home and makes these kinds of things up.

Yeah, there is probably a bit of a bias towards that mentality on Fox News, but given that Murdoch owns others news outlets that won't be trotting that crap out - what difference does it make?

Once upon a time I wasn't a massive fan of Xmas.
I was trying to find an old post of mine (here) that was REALLY bah-humbug
This was nearly a decade ago, though.
Now I have a few nephew and neices Xmas isn't so bad.
I think I was just depressed that I had to spend money on presents and got not a lot back.
Now I don't get much and don't give much
I just watch my little nephews/nieces open their presents up and see their faces light up - awwwwww

i agree with your general sentiment, but someone that likes the ravens is by definition a soulless bastard.

 

I put up our lights outside today. I love the whole Christmas lights, trees, and wreaths. With the kids grown and gone we have it pretty simple. Taking a walk through our little town with all the stores decorated, just wonderful.
We made applesauce to send to everyone and figured out how much we would have spent on presents and wrote a check to the food bank.

 

lode pointed to more of the idea of Christmas being attacked - such as those groups trying to remove Jesus from it all.

I'm opposed to the people who just piss and moan about the holidays. Its a time for family and friends to just sit back and enjoy.
