like who the fuck does this guy think he is? you have no lisence to punch anyone, no murderer, no pedi, no crazy person, but a innocent jay-walker?

I don't even know what i would do in that situation. You can totally tell the people wanted to help, but the guy was on a rampage that if they touched him they would get in serious trouble, and they wern't willing to risk it... so instead they screamed at him to stop.
Atleast the one guy did something, and that was film the thing. Now its on CNN, i hope this filthy american cop rots in fucking hell.

sometimes i jay walk and see a cop im like ;o *run* and he just drives by. i can only imagine just walking and he gets out of the car and punches me solid in the face. POW. like WTF>

 

The cop didn't seem as though he was none too skilled at subduing the suspect.

 

Am I the only one that watched the video?
The girl was obviously resisting and fighting and then the one in pink did assualt the cop FIRST.
We need to see what transpired first before the physical shit started, unfortunatly the video doesn't show that.
I'm willing to bet that he approached her and was going to right a ticket and she started yelling and cussing and flailing her arms all around and I'm sure that cop gave her ample warnings that if she didn't stop she would be arrested. I seriously doubt the cop started the physical part of the altercation except maybe taking the girls wrist to cuff her which is how it looks to me.
So not enough info to form an accurate judgement.

Would there be as much outrage from the crowd if it were white girls?
How about if it had been a black cop?

Not condoning the cops actions at all, but lets be real here people.
I would have smacked the bitch as well.

 

no sir he did not. for one, when things got out of control he should of stopped and said "ladies ladies chill the fuck out for one second!!" and froze with his hands in a halt, semi raised position, he was not in any real danger out in public like that.. Then apologize for the out of control behavior and manage the situation with exchanging apologies in pubic and the wrongs of both parties..
less the aggression of the onlookers with positive iterations with the suspect for something so petty..
continue to proceed to write the suspect up in a more private understanding matter while reporting the incident in the report, allowing disorderly conduct suspect to leave with citations..

I agree with PB that the suspects were unruly and uncooperative, but I also thought the police officer did no purport himself well. The punch he threw didn't seem to have anything to do with subduing the person but was more of an angry reaction. Whereas I personally have had no problems with Seattle police There always seems to be a contingent of crew cut young white boys who are dumb and bored and full of racial opinion. I think they are imports.

 

I have three problems with the video

1)That some one can be stopped for jay walking, fuck the insurance protecting status-fucking-quo.

2)That some one could be punched for jay walking (it's so stupid it is funny, so stupid it is sad).

3) that the police officer spent a good deal of the arrest dry humping the "evil jay walker".

 

I dont believe a weapon at all was needed.. controlling other members of society without a weapon is what we do commonly everyday among each other/. respect and understand. An Authority figure will have much more authority by using wisdom. Maybe wisdom dont come on to people that quickly, but here even an onlooker could of had more Authority than the police officer himself had they stepped in and calm both characters down...
It appears as this will be one for the manuals of what not to do.. Ive seen way bigger fights with police be controlled by a "Whoooa whoooooa everyone just chill the fuck out for one second!!"
This officers was truly scared, and was himself the bitch doing the bitch slapping.. you dont keep provoking a suspect for an "infraction" no less(when youre outnumbered to begin with.. Who'd he think he was >(fill in funny cant think one),,

Nobody was punched for jaywalking, she was punched for assualting the cop.

From what I saw in the video, the biggest problem is that the cop looks very young and therefore most likely inexperienced in handling shit like this.

Like I said, without seeing what transpired in the five -ten minutes before the filming started it is impossible to form an accurate assesment of the incident.
Just being honest about it.
