Is it just me, or is the hipforums search thingy quite useless most of the time? When entering terms like 4-HO-MET (for example), or any other chemical name that has those hypens in it, I seem to be getting no results. And I know for a FACT that there have been threads about it before.....:toetap05: Anybody else finding this? I suppose I could start a new topic, but I'd rather read existing threads as opposed to creating new ones and cluttering up the board.
Ive been here for years and the search function has never worked for me except for finding single words or usernames. It is a really crap search system and I used to wish people would stfu about 'why cant you just use the search function, n00b?'. If a question is asked all the time and is crap, then just link to threads on the topic and show how dumb it is for the person not to have looked down the page. But forum activity should be dynamic, and as long as people have interesting things to talk about.. they should just make a thread about it if they cant find a relevant post.. personally i like to know what people want to talk about.. instead of leaving them to a huge thread where they cant respond properly without reading pages and pages of general conversation or arguments that arise after the initial point has been made so yeh.. fuck the search function. use google for searching
