young artist in the NYC area looking to talk to other artists and possibly share time and space together. Due to lack of funds, my main specialty is limited to pencil art. My focus is on scenic background, portraits of people known and unknown as well as abstract art and fantasy/LOTR-esque folkloric work. I want to delve into mask making as well as prosthetics and special fx makeup and sculpting. I have the talent but at this point not the dough. Ideally I'm seeking a 1-on-1 apprenticeship or internship that can help me hone my skills. I realize that in this day and age, this is rare due to the current socio-economic climate, however an artist will continue to dream even under the most duressful circumstances.
