So the content of his speech doesn't prove he's an idiot. To prove that one must look at the content of his meaning.

hmmm, i don't know...that kind of makes sense. i always figured he had the moron get up so noone would possibly believe he had the brains to come up with any sort of power hungry scheme. i figured he was going for the whole average joe who makes mistakes strategy...

Why is everyone comparing him to a retard? A person is either born mentally retarded or becomes mentally "retarded" as a result of an accident or injury to the brain. Bush is a priveleged snot nosed frat boy who had all the advantages and wasted them. I look at him and think what a waste: all that money and he just frittered his life away. Never bothered to travel or read a good book or learn a damn thing. Hell, he just read Camus last year for the first time in his life!

Not to go all conspiracy theory..
but what if when he says the stuff like "it'd be easier if I were dictator" or "we need to cause more terrorism" or whatever dumbass shit he says
that he's not an idiot, but a puppet trying to warn people of whats happening by making "mistakes" in his puppet prepared speeches.

So then the media goes and makes him look like an idiot with bad camera angles and what not to explain the constant speech inconsistancies....

Its easier to imagine him an idiot, but thats a classic psychological tactic..to make what you want people to believe the easiest thing for them to believe, therefor they don't take effort to look furthur.

Who cares what the reasons for his...idiotic speeches are...it makes for amusing satire and that's all I care about...

 

I think when he is ''thinking on his feet'' - he IS a moron and yes that makes for good satire [if you like that kinda thing].
When you read the text of his speaches - yes you can disagree but ''retarded'' nagh .

His stupidity is definately used as an advantage, but it's real. They put someone stupid "in charge" so you won't imagine that anything's going on. The people really in charge are a lot smarter than him. Cheney, for example, though he's far from the top of the power structure. The Vice President almost always has more power behind the scenes than the President.
