salvia divinorum - anyone tried it?

salvia divinorum is a cannabis alternative but many people claim that its in a league of its own. its totally legal and can be brought in shops.

is it any good?
explain your experience with it.

i've already looked at it on 'erowid'.

I smoked it once, and nothing happened. It wasnt the extract though.

It shouldnt considered a cannabis alternative, its completly different from grass.

I tried it once, we smoked it in my car in the walmart parking lot. It was very intesne for about 5 or 6 minutes and then it was a real mellow after glow for about an hour or so.

Salvia is awesome, and if you havnt did any psychedelics I wouldnt reccomend doing it unless you have gotten really stoned before.

It can make you ahve giggle fits similar to grass tho, I did and my friend in the backseat did and hes like a drug veteran, tried everything and has a huge tolerance to most drugs, but he was back there in the floor board kicking and laughing. I felt like I was being thrown into the air, and I could see weird shapes in the clouds. And the girl beside me was just staring off into space and then she would look around real fast like she was paranoid and then start back staring.

If you walk it feels like you are floating in another dimension, or at lesat it did to me.

i know its seriously strong. i've seen the leaves, 5X extract, 10X, 15X and 20X, but i recently saw a "40X horse killer" and an "80X elephant killer"!!!

to prove how strong it was they gave Lemmy (from motorhead) a small sample of 40X. he was out of it! they said that they were still awaiting Lemmys results from the "80X elephant killer"! LOL

i've heard people completely out of it from 5X. but 80X!?!?!?! WHO THE FUCK COULD TOKE ON 80x EXTRACT???

I love salvia, its a little on the expensive side to not last as long, I wish I could find a plant somewhere.

40x and 80x, ive never heard of that i realy dont think that can be real,salvia isnt even like weed, and is a totaly different type of drug look it up on erowid,ive done it many a time and is very fun but has a bad repuation from most people cause they have no idea how to smoke it right

When I did it, I was standing at the side of my friends house with him at night. It was very dark, exept for the light over his garage shining on his driveway, and the street lamp in the distance. He toked, and right after he looked a little dumb-founded. Taking no head of this, I preceded to take my hit. After a couple of seconds, it started to feel like the ground was bending up and hitting me in the head, although I didn't feel it hit. My friend disappeared altogether, and I was alone. There were voices and I could have sworn people walking up to the house and yelling at me. I was back to normal in a flash, but I don't know how long it lasted. Only a minute or two I figure. I went home and gave some to my brother. I told him to stand out in the snow in case he fell over. He took his hit, then slowly bent backward at the waist, then around to the front and kinda wobbled like that for a while. After a minute I said his name, and got no response. After another minute I said it again, and it was like he snapped back to reality on the spot. He said later that he thought he had fallen over and was sinking deep into the snow, and it wasn't until I said his name a second time that he realized he was still standing.

The great thing about it is that every experience will be something different. I've never been so completely out of it on any other drug in my life. But the other good thing about it is that it only lasts those couple of minutes, so if you're not having a good experience, it will end soon. I don't know how many times I've been high on Acid or Shrooms and just wanted it to stop, but I was in it for the long haul.......

 

Well, TECHNICALLY, weed and salvia are the same type of drug. There both hallucinogens, right?

 

i've only tried this drug once, and nothing really happend i thought i felt a little odd but other than that nothing happend to me... but my friend was trying it at the same time as i was and all of a sudden she started laughing really hard and fell to the ground just lying there looking straight up at the sky mumbling some shit i couldnt understand... so me and my friends tried to help her up but she couldnt walk so we sat her down... thats when she was like why are you guys looking at me like that... she had no idea that she was acting totally wierd and started to get freaked out when we told her wut happend... and she said she saw school children in really funny uniforms walking wierd... i dunno it was really weird to witness wut can happen on this drug... my advice would be get someone to sit with you while you do it!

 

well there both drugs, but as far as people say its a weed alternative its nothing like a weed high at all,it effects a different part of the brain,uses a differet chemical,has different effects,is a different plant

 

Sounds like fun. Where can you get it? Weed is considered a hallucinogen? That's kinda dumb. Makes it sound alot worse than it really is.

No. Marijuana is not a hallucinogen.

but yeah, salvia is a cool drug. not to be taken lightly though, it's heavy shit if you do it right. You'll find the info you need at the salvia forum, there's some good threads there, read them first before you ask a question, chances are it's been answered.

I tripped on salvia, it's pretty cool. I was in a car at the end of a road near my house, and i took a bong rip of some 16x, and I felt like I was floating out of the car in big giant circles, like a ferris wheel, and I was going really high. I came back inside and then Iwas laughing hysterically, it was a blast. The only thing that sucks is that salvia makes your skin feel all weird and prickly, I've noticed.

 

Its okay, but I'm not a huge fan.

Lasting a few minutes, you get a sense of disorientation kinda similar to a nitrous balloon.
Much more noticable is the physical sensation. Almost like pins and needles all over your entire body, which can be a bit unpleasant or overwhelming.

Also, be sure to inhale DEEPLY and hold it in for as long as you POSSIBLY can. Granted you should probably do this with any drug you pay for, but you will only get the real experience if you hold it.
