Russian films about World War 2

Hi everyone

I'm looking for any info about russian films about WWII- not documentary, but normal films with battles, tanks, explosions etc. wanted to know if anybody here knows of such films?

a really good Russion film about WWII: <The Star>

it is exactly what you want---- battles, tanks, explosions ......and a moving story about the Russion soldiors.

this movie takes you back to 1944,the battlefield between Soviet Union and Nazi Germany.

 

sorry, i don't know of any; i would have said something like..."the pianist" but that's from the veiw point of a jewish man.

Several great Russian films about WWII are "Ballad of a Soldier" and"The Cranes are Flying", both from the 1960s. Moving stories about young soldiers trying to locate their lost loves and families in the chaos of war.

 

"the cranes are flying" is the best
