It was AMAZING. Only the people on these boards who actually know me can probably imagine what a stress it was for me to actually see Mick Jagger live in front of me but OH MY GOD. It was SO cool, he is SO fantastic to see live, he got the audience off their seats and dancing in the aisles (quite a feat considering most people were looking for various imagninative ways to commit suicide after enduring the torture that is Nickleback performing live for an hour), they did all the hits (even 'Shes so Cold' bungs!) and Mick really involved the audience in the songs. He did all his sexy ass shaking boogeying stress - you can imagine my excitment Tamsyn and Soph- and I am SO sure he pointed at me during the show. Keith was a little wasted which I guess is typical Keith and me n Dan decided maybe they all take turns to play concerts wasted since apparently at the Auckland gig Charlie was so trashed he had to be helped over to his drums. Ronnie was awesomely random and oh the joy NO BILL. The moving stage was so incredible and I honestly had the best night of my entire life. If any of ya went what did you think? If you didn't go.. I feel sorry for you.... it was SO fantastic.
thats so cool. my mum and dad went ad loved every minute...but i don't think they could top your stressage. i'm glad you got to see them
It was a real celebration of Rock 'n' Roll..."Midnight Rambler" was great as was "You Can't Always Get What You Want". Would have loved to hear "Street Fightin' Man" though
It was so cool in Can't Always Get... to hear 50,000 people just..singing! And the moving stage was fucking brilliant, they were so close they looked like real people, as opposed to stick figures on the stage. Those $350 tickets would've been awesome.
Nah I dont reckon aye coz the people at the back with the $350 seats would have seen jackshit! We saw heaps ahhh so cool!
Yeah well if you were at the front I guess. I don't know what the seating was like in Wellington but I had pretty good ones
Did you hear that while Mick was in Auckland he filmed parts of a new American TV show, tentatively called "Let's Rob Mick Jagger".
Keith Richards falls from palm tree AP Wellington: Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards has suffered a mild concussion while vacationing in Fiji and was flown to hospital in New Zealand as a precaution, a spokeswoman for the band said in a statement yesterday. Media reports in Australian and New Zealand said Richards hurt his head when he fell out of a palm tree at a Fiji resort. Last week "Rolling Stone Keith Richards suffered a mild concussion," the statement said. "Following treatment locally and as a precautionary measure he flew to a hospital accompanied by his wife Patti for observation." No further details on the 62-year-old's condition were immediately available.
oh man, yeah I heard that on the news too. I wonder what Keith was doing up a coconut tree in the first place? bwahahahaha, what a classic. he's supposed to be getting out today
Him and Ronnie were getting pissed on vodka shots and rum and both climbed up a coconut tree. Keith was the only one silly enough to fall out. Silly Apple, actually he also kinda reminds me of a coconut. In other stress news I had lunch with my brother on Sunday and I asked him what it was like doing security at the Rolling Stones concert and stressss he like a bellboy and got to push buttons on the lift for them! He said Mick totally ignored him but Keith said hi. And also just before that he was security at the front of the Stones VIP area and although he didnt actually see this coz he was right up the front and more hardout security was actually in the room with the band someone told him the Stones were all snorting lines before they went on stage. Noice.
