Who knows something/anything about these crosses that I'm seeing poping up on the side of interstates all over?

They are white crosses about 2-3 feet tall, the kind we've all seen in the places where people have lost their lives. The ones I'm asking about have a name plate in the middle of the cross that says "YOU".

I'm assuming the idea is that all us "nonbelievers" are supposed to see these things and quake in our boots. This is exactly the kind of thing that is pushing me away from christianity. I bet you all think your adding jewels to your crowns with this kind of "outreach".

Way to make the cross into crosshairs. I have no need for such a violent vindictive god.

Just what we need more fearmongering from you people.

I think these maybe a road safety thing and not a christian outreach thing. They have campaigns like this in the UK. The idea is probably to get you to cut your speed and stuff. Thousands of people die on the roads everyday, each one costing the taxpayer millions. Nearly all road traffic accidents are avoidable. All it takes is learning how to drive safely.

Maybe your right. If so I guess I assumed to much, and I apologize to the Christians.:&

It just seems to me to fit right in with the "Hell is Real" and "Where are you spending eternity" bumper stickers. Both stickers sport bold lettering on a backgorund of flames. There is no mistaking those.

oo...i so totally know how the shrines on the sides of the road started...well, not the ones that say YOU but like the ones to people who have died in accidents.

Christians [up here it was aminly Ukranians cause they are the people who settled up here] would put the crosses at crossroads as shrines so they could worship and commemerate special events, but then I guess it was adopted for accident victims..

oh yeah, and if anyone knows the country song "Three Wooden Crosses" I know where the "Three Crosses" are, I live by the place that has them and the man who wrote the song is from thecity here...
