Respect is earned, not automatically given. Modern society has done everything to not deserve my respect. Even though I must admit that I am mesmerized my its efficiency.
I have no respect for this society. I try and be tolerant of people.. but I refuse to tolerate the establishment.
Does this society deserved respect? Society is not even a person. Society is a jumbled mass, an agglomeration of ideas and customs handed down by elder members mostly with the ultimate goal of control and conformity. In the words of Frank Zappa, the late American musician, "Without deviation from the norm, there can be no progress."
I respect society and its norms and rules. Its funny how everyone expects something from the society but isnt willing to pay it back to the same society.
Not really that. Society is the glass ceiling that keeps people from being themselves and doing what they want, without it people would be free'er.
What is constructive about having a career, live your life according to certain patterns and expectations and then die?
LOL. What is wrong with that ? Some people just want to achieve as much as possible, and live a secure happy life. Some people care about education, career , money, academics and stuff like that. Thats not a wasted life. Thats a constructive life. I'd consider a wasted life one lived carefree, without any achievements.
Ehh, that's a tad far fetched. People have a natural tendency to form societies. Without society we won't be free, we'd be dead.
All of those "achievements" are so pointless. What are they, after all...? I think that I achieve much more by simply living a kind and helpful existence, without feeling a need for all of this bullshit.
we are a type 0.7 society, and if we dont get our shit in one sock in the next hundred years...we wont make it as a civilization...or to a type 1...
