Resin

resin is amazing. I Just scraped a bowl I've been using heavily since the beginning of sumner and smoked it all at once. I was fucking destroyled and it is a much different high, like crazy. it lasted like 20 minutes for my friends but I'm still high. Why can't normal bud not make me feel this way? would trying sativa vs indica be different? i really want this kind of high more, but I cant come up with this much resin all the time.

by the way, I'm sure alot of you think resin is gross. some of my friends do, but they say they dont get high from it. once you've gotten this feeling though, its amazing.

I love resin. I like to spread it on the outside of joints and blunts. It burn much slower and get's you like 2x as high as you would without the resin.

 

I know man! I was the one a little while ago who took that advice and got ripped off it. I did that again today, rolled a tight cone and then rubbed resin on the first half of it. I didnt bother with the second half cause by that time the paper was just drenched with resin. that got me really good but the bowl of resin I smoked hit me hardest.

Resin is the brown tar that is left from weed smoke.

I got super stoned early this morning from res. It's definitly a shorter, more intense high. I scraped it out of my bong stem that I use for chutes and pails, I pulled tons out with a pin.

The best is putting it on an after-sesh cigarette. It takes the taste away from the tobacco, and it gets you higher, and it actually smells pretty good.

 

Hmm.. that's certainly strange that the resin you've been smoking makes ya feel more high then your nugs. Are you sure it's better? Maybe just different, and therefore more memorable? I myself am not too into smoking resin these days, but when I was in highschool and college, I certainly smoked my share of gunky black tar when the weed wasn't anywhere to be found. I had a friend in highschool who to this day, only smokes resin and/or hash. He says weed makes him too paranoid and hits him too hard.

You can get resin from smoking hash.

 

all pieces build up resin, and yes resin can get you pretty high but it doesnt last as long. it can get you higher than weed, but not always, and not for as long. it wont really get you stoned though. i dont think you can get couch locked or something from resin

 

Maybe it was the amount I was smoking, or maybe it was the potency... for the most part, it was resin from pretty dank weed. I guess it must have a different affect for different people... I was definitely stoned for an hour... as opposed to maybe 2 hours when I smoke alot of bud, but it was a much stronger high in SOME ways. and its funny that you mention the couchlock thing, because I never get that when I smoke bud, but I was sitting there after hitting the res and my friend was just like, "lets climb that tree" and i just kind of looked at him and was like... "I cant get up man". I literally felt like I couldnt move. it didnt affect my head too much though... but the body high from it was intense. I still had crazy thoughts and all, but different, and absolutly no paranoia throughout the whole high, not even a second of panic, which is different for me.

 

oh and one other thing... should I just try and find some hash to get this feeling again? I smoked it once sprinkled in a blunt, but I dont think it was very good or there wasnt much, cause I didnt feel a whole lot different. But theoretically, shouldnt it do about the same thing as resin?

 

I use to smoke ALOT of resin, now that I know it's much worse for you than just some good old nuggity/leafy bud. It's way harsh on the lungs too man. I use to get alot higher off resin too, now I only smoke it maybe once a month, and I'd advise that you don't smoke resin any more than that either.

The taste and effects of good quality bud are much better than that of resin.

 

Actually he rarely smoked hash. He just smoked resin, which he would get from cleaning out all of mine and my friends' bows/pipes/bubblers. We'd pass a bowl of dank buds all around and he'd pass every turn.. then, when we where all done, he'd scrap the bowl and take a few hits of the leftovers.

You cannot make real hash or hash oil from the resin you get out of your pieces. Hash oil is made from unburned plant matter -- not the tar you pull out of your glass bowl after smoking some headies. Hash itself is the "resin" collected off from the marijuana leaves. As far as the resin that this thread pertains to.. that's tar. It certainly gets you a little tweaked if you're out of the greens, but given how much worse it is for your lungs and throat, I couldn't see using it for more than a last resort.

But again, to each their own -- different strokes for different yolks.
