The Kent State murders remind me of the danger of putting guns in the hands of men with little minds who sign up for the military, in order to make themselves feel "big."
This year's commemoration went well. There was a healthy turnout and beautiful weather. The Kent State commons May 4th, 2008. This image was taken near the top of Blanket Hill where the guard fired. .
Peace march leaving the commons on its way into downtown Kent, May 4th 2008. The notable Victory Bell is seen in the foreground and was the congregation point of many anti-war gatherings in the 60s and 70s. It was also the site where the Constitution was symbolically buried a few days before the shootings in May 1970. .
^that was very thoughtful of you to add the photos. Sad how were soppose to remember 9/11 every single day, yet forget real Armerican Heros.
