Hi! Does anybody have any info on the Rainbow Family in England? I've tried looking on websites for information but I can't find any that are useful. Do they meet often and, if so, where?

    Thank you.

    Peace

There isn't really much of a rainbow family in england to be honest. There are lots of rainbows but not actual gatherings although I did hear something about a national gathering somewhere around devon maybe while i was on the trail last year. We have our very own, very distinct variety of gatherings in Britain called the camp scene. These started after the end of the free festival movemnt in the mid eighties. Palden Jenkins started off the glastonbury dance, music and mysteries camps which quickly developed into Oak Dragon. Then from Oak Dragon lots of other tribes started up. Firstly rainbow circle and unicorn camp and then later on various other things started up.

I focalise Oak Dragon now and teach at Rainbow2000 camps which are run by the king of the convoy.

Hi! Thanks for the response. I didn't realise Rainbow was a small group in England. Hopefully I will get to go to a national gathering if one occurs in the future (other than the European Gathering) [IMG] Do you have any info about the camp scenes in Britain? Are they similar to what I have read about Rainbow gatherings? How many people do you usually get per camp? I'd appreciate any info that you have please as I'd love to come to one if they are. You seem like you're the right person to ask on this subject [IMG] [IMG]

    Thanks.

    Peace
