I've noticed many commercials recently involving a mother or father dealing with the death of a child as a result of an ecstacy overdose. I'm wondering what is others take on this. Really, in Florida (jeb bush state for granted) I see the commercials two and three times a night. My days of using are far from over, but in the same light they aren't in the forefront of my life anymore. I used to use it a lot years ago, then gave it up for awhile, then searched out the ultimate high again last summer on the spur of the vibe I was going on that weekend - ended up eating 14 tenths of molecule and 2 press tabs in one night - it was an absolute blast, but it honestly took me 5 days to feel even sober again nevermind like myself again. Looking back, though I had fun, I knew I took too much - WAY to much, but I see these commercials now, I've known people who have used it for years and it just seems strange that these commercials have a target that ecstacy can kill someone. I know it can, but I feel it lacks merit - there isn't much conclusive evidence of the danger. As with many drugs, I'm sure ecstacy taken to the extreme can kill you - but all these commercials seem nothing more than propaganda to me.
i think it was something like 1 outa every 100,000 people die of ecstasy and thats becaus its not mdma its pma or some shit like that X is relatively safe if u use it responsibly
more people die b/c of tylenol or aspirin then of esctasy. we all know there is an agenda that the government has that is unknown to common people....think about marajuana. esctasy can be theraphuetic (sp.) when used responsibility and yeah, someone might die.... but i mean, someone might die of everything.
I like the fact that you have more of a chance to die in your sleep from fire then dieing of MDMA... These comercials are just propaganda tools. When my mom found out about me taking X she tried to use these comercials against me. "You know will... a lot of kids you take X die with only one hit in their system" "You know by a lot you mean 1 out of 100,000." "Still Will you dehydrate a lot faster on it and don't notice. You could pass out and die" "You also know you can drink to much water and flood your body on it and that why you should have one bottled water on you?" "Its illegal" "So was alcohol during prohibition... drinking and drivings illegal too... hows that different for you guys"
Statistically, your actually just as likely to die doing DIY or playing rugby as you are to die from ecstacy. Its actually extremely rare to die off MDMA on its own, people who die from it almost always have been drinking booze, mixing em with other drugs or not being sensible and not drinking enough. If you follow the basic guidelines you will nearly certainly be fine.
yeah if all ecstasy was mdma it would be really safe. but taking ecstasy is still dangerous because of the risk of it being cut with something else. you can't deny the danger of taking something you bought as 'ecstasy' when yuo dont even really know whats in the pill.
Most pills ('extacy') when used responsibly and maturly entail very little risk. The problem is not just PMA it is 'dumb fucks'. The comercial forgot to mention that the 'extacy' deaths were probably natural selection anyway.... and yes natural selection exists in terms of chemicals and users as well... their existance in and of itself makes them automaticly applicable to natural selection.
