why can't a gun kill someone?

 

The combination can kill people, although if you smash someone really hard with a gun it can kill them too.

 

Its not guns that kill people.
Its not bullets that kill people.
Its people that kill people.

 

It is the combination of people, guns and bullets that kill people. Although people can kill other people without guns and bullets too.
With knifes for instance. Or by means of strangling.

 

or by kicking

 

Its people who trigger.
Its people who strangle.
Its people who stab.

But they usually use outside sources to do that. Like bullets and guns.
