So in January, I had my hair chopped off and dyed a bright red with chunky platinum highlights. There was also these weak strawberry blonde highlights that gave the whole look this brunnette tone...It ruined the striking bold statement of the red, IMO.

I'm having it re-dyed on Friday. I know that I want a bold red base colour. But I think with the highlights, I want to keep them as bold as the base colour. I don't want a soft look. I was thinking Platinum blonde again, but the other two colors, I don't know what to do. I was thinking of maybe a bright bold Irish red (like true redhead colour) and the last colour, I could either do really dark, or just not use one. If I want to go with four colours, I am thinking a blue-black to keep with the bold look....but then, I might want to just keep it bright....What do you think?

haha that sounds EXACTELY like me.. i use manic panic dye.. a while ago, i had hot pink streaks, for christmas i had red and green... and ive had rainbow too!!

but holly, i think you should do red with plantinum blond OR red with a dark color like dark blue or black.. either would look cool, i think

    good luck!

I like striking bold red or just cute little irish red girl hair... your eyes are such a beautiful blue red would only make them pop and draw more attention to them! Your skin tone also seems light with yellow tones more than red tones in it so red would be a compliment to your skin tone also. Honestly I can't picture you with dark. It seems far away from your natural color right? I always think you should stick within a few color ranges of your natural color to look right. You can still be bold but if your near your natural color you can't go wrong!

Well, no matter what, my base colour is bright red....I'm naturally a DARK brown...which doesn't suit my coloring at all...Which is why I dyed it red....It's dyed in all my pics.

I was thinking blue-black lowlights to make the red pop more....because bright red with just platinum would be too Ginger Spice...But I can't wait! I go Friday morning...I'll make sure to post pictures...:D

blue black foils would be awesome...i have been thinking about going back to red...ppl used to think it was my natural color lol
