Wow Trish...I'm so sorry that happened to you. That must have been just awful, I couldn't even begin to imagine. And you know, I don't blame you one bit for having those feeling towards men because of it. I don't see how it could not affect someone like that.

It hasn't been all that long ago either. You're getting closer to the time when it happened, so more emotions and flashbacks are coming out because of it.

im so sorry. i had a friend that was raped when she was 13 and it took her 4 or 5 years to get "over it"

 

What I find to be almost as sick as rapists is the fact that almost ninety percent of the females I know claim to have been raped at one point or another. Most of them are able to talk about it like it is no big deal. I think the fact that many people make that claim for attention or pity is almost as disgusting as the people who actually do it.

 

what I find sick is that someone HAS to come along and say that.... ive never known a girl to lie like that.. me, ive been so ashamed that i cant keep posts up about it- i know that was broader then me- but still... i personally dont know any girls that lied about something like that..... i know its happened and trust me, that is disgusting but please... dont take a thread that is about a serious issue and give that old argument.

girls DO get raped and drugged whether you hate them or not. there was no need for that comment here.

i mean WHY THE FUCK WOULD a girl lie about that? i had stuff up about what happened to me and i deleted it cause i was embarrased.. though i try to be an empowered female, i really deleted it cause i didnt want critisisum with talking about something so sensitive.

funny it happened anyways. im sure girls have done that but that's not what this thread is about.

I am not denying the fact that people actually get raped. I am not even playing down how horrible it is, or how evil rapists are. Just commenting on what I think of when I hear the word rape. I think of the fact that every girl I have ever dated, just about, swears she has been raped and when she talks about it it is as emotionlessly as if she were talking about going to the store. I find it quite hard to believe that somebody can talk about something that traumatic that calmly. "Yeah I was raped once. I was at a college party. I'm pretty sure somebody slipped something in my drink".

If you do not like what I have to say, leave me on ignore as you have claimed to do so many times. I will continue to speak my mind, and if it offends somebody than so be it.

 

arjan.. no... well what is recent? something happened last august that was horrible but it made me change my life... i was never gonna be "THAT GIRL" again.... there might be a small comment in my journal from then... i tried to keep it very quiet because i really didnt wanna be critised about this.
what happened was... i read a post in true confessions by a girl getting molested by her step dad. she is 16. feelings that i never really felt (after the first three days) came back... i just want people like that to pay. its disgusting.

 

no, i just think it was very insensitive for you to say. this is the first time i talked about what happened to me and felt the emotions... i was sitting here shaking.... i wont ever go back to that beach and i started to change my life after that day... i opened up and it was REALLY hard for me.. then you of all people come along and make that comment.

thats really rough and i just hope you know how insensitive that is and i would never do that to you...

and now that i think about it... girls that lie like that, i dont know. they are making me mad too

this has changed my life forever- i was in the hospital for 16 hours drunk and omg.... forget it....
