While closing my eyes du the relaxation part of yoga or at other times, I have really rapid eyemovement while awake ( eyes closed). My yoga teacher said something about it but I can“t recall. Any ideas? Thanks

relax and don't sweat the small stuff - REM during meditation means the same as when you're sleeping.

Just pay attention to what's happening with your REM. REM is usually associated with Theta brainwaves. It's something that's happening in the moment. Take note of it and be in that moment.

You seem to be speaking of shavasana (relaxation pose) at the end of an asana routine where one is fully conscious but in a state of complete relaxation where the problem may be that the eye lids continue to twitch as a condition of open eyed blinking. You can try sand filled eye pillows to help this condition, stop the twitching.
