How could one possibly get raped in prison. Is it exaggerated in the movies. What are the chances that your cell mate would be both gay, AND physically stronger than you. Can't you request to be moved, or request protection from the guards. It's their job. Prisoners are sentenced to life in prison, NOT life in prison with rape. If the judge accounted for the fact that they get raped, maybe they should be given a shorter sentence!!! If I were physically stronger than someone, it doesn't mean that I'd be able hold their arms, legs and torso still. And even if I could, they could just keep a tight ass. Even if I did manage to separate their butt cheeks, their sphincter muscle wouldn't let me in. The only place where there isn't supervision is the showers I could not get a hardon for another man, not to mention the fact I'd get shit dicked. And no, I could pretend its a woman ass by closing my eyes. I don't why people say that. How can screw a man and not be, at least bi. I, (if desperate enough) would resort to masturbation amongst my sheets
can't say i've been to prison, so i don't really know exactly how time is spent in there and what sort of opportunities may present themselves. i suspect opportunity for rape varies widely from one prison to the next. i do suspect it's exaggerated in the movies.
Rape in prison has got nothing to do with the perpetrator being gay - it's about power, nothing more, nothing less!
yeah, as i understand it, prison rape, for the most part, has very little to do with homosexuality. but it is rife. however, studies show that violent rape, while still on average massively more common than in the outside world, is not as common as sexual acts performed as a result of intimidation and coercion, which, while still rape, are not nearly exciting enough to be depicted on TV or in movies.
this makes me think of the movie american history x. when he is in prison and gets rape cause he walk away from the one guy
Immediately I envision a scene in which a large prisoner has a smaller, weaker prisoner face down on the floor of the cell. When the weaker prisoner decides to tighten up his sphincter muscle to thwart the rape, the stronger one on top delivers a blow to the back of his head and, in a deep, authoritative voice, says, "Release your sphincter . . . now!" And of course he would repeat as needed.
I am guessing it has more to do with long sentences than even power. Think of the sailor jokes...no women for a long time will make some people take it where they can find it. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=in+the+barrel There are frogs that can even switch genders if there aren't enough females around... The movie Shawshank Redemption has a fair bit of rape in it. But it takes place before there was much surveillance in prisons.
I can back it up by presenting every thread you've started in the past few days. Rape in prison. I don't know how to work a phone. Seriously. Good work though. I fell for it for a few hours.
What's wrong with my "Rape in Prison" thread? It poses a fair question that nobody is often over-looked
Rape ignored by authorities; Just weeks after he entered the Texas prison system at age 19, Kerry Max Cook says he was gang-raped by fellow inmates. It was the beginning of what he describes as two decades of torture. More than 200,000 men are raped behind bars each year, according to the group Stop Prisoner Rape. While rape under any circumstances is a violation, human rights advocates say rape in prison is also torture. Cook, 46, now released from prison, says the first attack came not long after he ended up behind bars. "They made me take my clothes off," says Cook. "They bent me over a concrete embankment that used to sit outside in the yard." Before it was over, the inmates had carved obscenities into Cook's backside. Over the next two years, he says, he was repeatedly assaulted and even locked up with his attackers. "And once the door slams," Cook says, a cellmate told him, "'Take your clothes off.' Well, what am I gonna do? Who am I gonna call? Who am I gonna ask for help? I just endured it. This could go on for six months, seven months, maybe a year. Then he got executed or he moved out or something happened. Then comes the next one." A 'Sexual Jungle' The American prison system has been described as a "sexual jungle," where there are predators and prey. Experts say some prison officials quietly permit rape as a way to control the population. "Where the predators — the more violent, powerful inmates — are in effect being given a bribe or a reward to cooperate with the prison authorities," says Harvard University criminologist Dr. James Gilligan. "As long as they cooperate, the prison authorities will permit them to have their victims." Hotwater
