I'm trying to set up a list of the recreational drugs that are reputed and experienced to create terrifying effects. This is just a rough list so feel free to add to it.

    1. Salvia?
    2. DMT?
    3. LSD?
    4. LSA?
    5. Shrooms?
    6. ...
    7.
    8.
    9.
    10.

I've only tried shrooms and LSA but I've heard salvia and DMT are worse, which is why I'm a bit afraid to try...

I can't relate in terms of psychological terror but of all the things I can think of,
salvia is disorienting to the point of it not being useful for enlightening in a positive sense. However I wouldn't decline the experience as it represents a level of sensation.

There is everything the OP listed...and about twelve spaces above it is Nutmeg.

    That is all.

If you're going solely by terrifying psychological effects than my list is:

    1. Salvia Divinorum
    2. 5-meo-DMT
    3. DPT
    4. DMT
    5. 25I-Nbome
    6. MDPV (repeated use)
    7. LSD
    8. Psilocybin Mushrooms
    9. Ketamine
    10. 2ct2

I'm thinking Datura would be high on there too but I have no experience with it.

It's difficult to draw a comparison really because shrooms lasts a lot longer than Salvia and DMT, the forcefullness and velocity which those other two come on when smoked/vaped I think is at another level but shrooms can be pretty unrelenting once you get stuck in some negative thought loops.

I didn't exactly find it terrifying. You go into a blurry stupor and have terrible gastrointestinal problems but nothing particularly bad psychologically. Maybe I didn't do enough.

Nutmeg for sure. Diphenhydramine is also on my list of terror. I'm sure datur as well. I hear 5-MeO-DMT is pretty terrifying and Salvia can get pretty Scary.

    Care to elaborate?

Out of everything I tried, probably Salvia, Mxe at high doses can give mania, that felt scary too. I imagine 5-meo-dmt, DPT to be up there as well. nn-DMT can be terrifying but seems more reasonable than the others.

It probably isn't bad to everyone. But if you look up some of the symptoms of a Nutmeg OD, the common one, besides a nice strong heart-rate, is simply "Fear of death". Unfortunately this happened to me.

Of the few things I have experienced, I've never felt terror. Shrooms, high dose LSD, salvia, a handful of rc's, I've never been terrified.
Flirted with the edges of ego loss, moments of paranoia, but not terror.
Can't say for sure but I think that list is like most psychedelics, it depends more on the individual response rather than the substance.

The 2nd time I tried 25I-nbome at 2mgs, the onset comes on fairly gradually so I think it possibly may have lulled me into thinking it was only going to get so intense, especially since it's a 2ci analog. But once it gets going on the peak, I found it probably about as stimulating as 2ci and the visuals were on par with LSD and maybe even more refined, so it created this rapidly paced trip with very synthetic 'engineered' type visuals which didn't really let up. It didn't really produce the ecstastic feelings I tend to get from LSD either, although it had it's moments. The fact that it doesn't have the safety profile and long history of use that LSD does probably played a role in making it feel a bit more terrifying as well.

I see. The lack of a safety profile or even use of 25i has and continues to trip me out, and not in a good way. Thanks for elaborating

you know ive never really felt terror on a drug before, even the one time on diphen.
maybe i will with this 25i who knows what could be so horrific if you know its just a drug anyways right?

Why is everyone wigging out on Benadryl? They're one of my favorites, very relaxing. Never had a bad trip.

I've done a lot of "substances" over the years...love that word substances.

Anyway, the only time I've felt anything like "psychological terror" is within this past year when I tried this store-bought "fake pot". Dear God. I felt like I was having a nervous breakdown...even praying aloud and everything. I still felt sort of shaky inside, if that makes sense a day after that mess. Made me know I'll wait and smoke what I grow. lol

This same stuff is now, in my SC county and several near-by counties, "illegal" and been pulled from the shelves.

DPT, salvia, Datura, and synthetic cannabinoids are probably the substances that could give you the most predictable terror :D

Been focusing on iboga root bark research for the past while.
It's gotta be on that list somewhere.

salvia is the only one that has terrorized me. once, on my only breakthrough trip with it.

DMT has not been scary to me, though i haven't broken through.

i have had the most number of difficult times on shrooms, but i would call it terror.

never had terror on LSD, and i've tripped the most on that.
