Everybody here is familiar with the peace symbol. (duh) All of a sudden, I am seeing it everywhere. This is itself is not a bad thing. For people to believe in peace is wonderful! But it's popping up everywhere--in stores like Claire's and Hollister--and the people who are wearing it don't believe in peace. The peace symbol is coming back into fashion (at least where I am it is) and people are only wearing to be "in" or "cool". All of these conformist, pro-government, anti-anything-different preps and jocks have it all over their clothes. So I ask them, "Do you believe that war and violence is okay?" I get answers like "Yeah, it is." or "Yeah, we need war." And yet they are wearing this symbol of peace! I don't get it!
Why do you care? Wear what you like, the fads will change, it's whether YOU change that matters. Anyway, I think it's fantastic that I can find so many peace signs these days. It makes updating my wardrobe easy peasy lemon squeezy.
For example, this shirt I got at Wal-Mart. But it's the most badass peace sign I've ever been able to afford.
Frikken sidewalk chalk! I use to get in so much trouble with that stuff...writing naughty things about naughty people. haha good times good times. Love your art, btw.
i love chalk! it's one of my favorite mediums... that om lasted for about a month. people would walk around it..
i've got a dragonfly tattoo because well they call me dragonfly, and it's anteni have lil ohms on the top pretty cool
Hello, I do not believe in peace, and therefore I find the sign to be a rather dumb, overused, commercial symbol. Or maybe not for that reason, but still.
