why cant people just laugh at themselves. i dont take any offense to anything that might normally people like me. its just a joke and they are funny. most people who make the jokes are not prejudice at all. they are just funny. so lets start with some prejudice jokes against anyone and everyone! that way either people can learn not be offended or everyone can be offended together! ill start why cant ray charles read?
I can guess the answer, but I am caucasian and therefore don't believe it is my place to say, especially considering the ethnic makeup of these forums. mostly because jokes simply aren't funny making light of the extermination of people isn't funny either,and are usually repeated by zit faced teens whose dad beats them on a regular basis and have a hatred for the world because they are underachievers who blame others for the problems
or just because they are funny. people should learn to laugh at themselves. not take things so personally. most people are not prejudice in anyway
Laughing at yourselves is one thing, spitting on your farefathers is another. the people who say these jokes are never the ones who are effected by them, its always middle of the road white people who somehow remain untouched by these. unless you've been a black person who is forced to hear jokes about lynching as a kid, or a jew who has to hear jokes about the mass extermination of their ancesters, you will never know. more lighthearted jokes are one thing, but I know the darker ones are repeated pretty frequently, and that crosses the boundary.
and maybe some people should make up some jokes about white people. heres one how do all black jokes start? by looking left then right to make sure no one black is around. not too good. tried to figure something fast. make some up about whit people then. or guys. make them up about everyone
I don't know what you are, I'm just guessing like i said, there are more light hearted ones that don't bother me, then there are ones that cross the line, which I've heard plenty of.
