Quick Question

Hey guys! (and gals) I have a question.
You might not know me (I spend most of my time in the young hippies and hippies forums) but, I have a semi-personal question.
I was wondering how many of the 'older' hippies still smoke cannabis.
If you do, why?

After going through a wide varity of drugs,everything from smack to alcohol to cigerettes,today I only smoke pot.Why,cause I like it.It doesn't kill the soul.

I'VE SMOKED SENCE I WAS 15 AND LIKE 68 DID, I TOO HAVE GONE THROUGH SOME OR MOST OF THE HARD STUFF, IF FACT, I HAD A STROKE WHILE I WAS SMOKING CRACK 2 YEARS AGO. ONLY POT NOW AND FOR EVER. I THINK I WILL ALWAYS SMOKE WEED AND HAVE NO PLANS TO STOP.

I DID READ YOUR OTHER TREAD AND YOU NEED TO FOLLOW YOUR HEART ON THAT SUBJECT BUT I WILL ADD, YOU CAN'T LET A PERSON CONTROL YOU. BE YOUR OWN PERSON.

 

I gave up pot as a everyday thing about 15 years ago. Me and my partner at the time used to alwasy toke up lunchtime, I found it efected working while makeing you think you were doing great.

now about once or twice a year, just for fun

 

I didn't inhale I swear. It's not mine I was just holding it for a friend, I never saw that before in my life. Really I'm just a hitch hicker. I Plead the Fifth!!

I must say > I love this site... I have been to others but I have much more fun in here..you can say what you feel or about how you felt or saw things and not get booted out if you dis-agree with the topic of conversation.. T/Y for allowing me my first ammendment.

I'm not talking being rude or obnotious or trying to cause trouble.. but just to say what you saw and heard and felt about someone or something should be allowed in every forum. I think the TRUTH sould always be told even if it's sometimes unpleasent or shocking. I belive that if your going to tell a good story, that the good bad and ugly should been shown. If your going to "know" a subject than know it for what it is, the whole of it, not just the frosting on it. I as an "Elder" in my own right want to guide the "YOUNGERS" into what being a hippie was/is with their eyes wide open. "Come and "get it" Kids.."See warning lable first before you try this product" type of attitude. What I'm trying to say is, Know it inside out before you make a dissision. Education is the KEY to everthing. I don't want my grandkids to take drugs at all, it's not good for the body mind or spirit. If man has fooled with it , it's poison, stick to what the earth yields and you will be better off. The drugs today are NOT like the ones we did 30 odd yrs ago..we had the "RealThing" they dont make it any more. Their poison now days.. is just that.. mostly arsenic..and makes you a zombie or sociopathic(sp).. doing drugs does NOT make you a hippie it only makes you stupid.. sorry only my honest oppinion and I done it all for a very long time. I just thank the Creator for showing me the Light. <shameless>

Thank You John.. I don't belive in the old saying 'those that can, do, those that can't teach'.. I belive we are all teachers in some way when we reach a certian point in our lives. From our experiences we share with other, is a teaching tool. Is it not our roll in life to teach our childern from what we ourselves have learned..These kids will be in charge when we are old n febel ..I don't want a bunch of uneducated druged up "hippies" running my SS check..n when I'm stuffed away in a nursing home.. I don't want my caregiver stealing my alshimers durgs to get high on while I slip off the never never land..Clear headed thinking is the answer... a do be can't hurt so leave it out of the drug catogory..

You say you it's not good for the mind or spirit.
I use cannabis, home grown pure cannabis.
It is from the earth, and it has opened my soul.
The cannabis I smoke is pure.
There is no way it is like what you describe.
Can ya did?

Where in Texas are you from?
