for the most part there gonna do wire taps if it's pretty fucking serious, like huge scale dealings, unless the person is big in the drug world, and was just selling you a little bit of his personals, i doubt theres a wire, but really you never can be too sure
Most cops dont spend there precious funding on catching the end user, but there are some instances where they do just that. Anyone seen the episode of Cops where they set up a sting with like 3 black guys to catch people buying weed? The 3 guys would stand around this one suburb road, waiting for a car to drive up. When the stoner in the car asked the guys for some weed, they sold him some, then as he drove away, like 20 cops would all spring out of the bushes, and 5 cop cars would speed around the corner blocking all exits. They had a chopper too, "just incase". There must have been like 30-40 cops all togeather doing the sting. Thankfully, due to the efforts of those fine officers of the law, the streets are now safe. Time, men, and money was well spent catching such dangerious criminals, it might have otherwise been wasted arresting theives, rapists, or murderers.

they would wear a wire while buying from their dealer. That would mean the cops are arresting a LARGER dealer than originally. If they got caught, they wouldn't be asked or offer to wear a wire while selling, because then they'd be arresting a smaller dealer than originally. So only worry if you're dealing large amounts to another dealer or used... dimes and shit, dont worry.
most of the time the word of a ci is enough to get a conviction, so a wire is just an added liablility. And anyone ever see that episode of COPS were they were doing a reverse bust (selling instead of buying to arrest users instead of dealers), and one stoner handed them a ten, looked at the weed, and just left? Or that one episode where the crack head got the money and just ran off?
haha, did u see the one where the cops are questioning some crack head, and the crack head goes "hey whats that over there"? the cop being a swine piece of shit that he was, looked, and the crackhead just heaves a crack pipe in the other direction.. funny shit
