i've never really figured out why they were so famous. i can respect that a lot of people like queen but they just don't cut it for me :-S
Man, they are bad ass. They aer fucking bad ass. Their music has got a lot of soul, to say the least.
It's really hard to pick one song. It's a cliché but I'd pick the Bohemian Rhapsody because of its musical importance, the mixture it's got. But I think my fave. is "Dont Stop me Now" Bicycle Race is awesome too. But then there's also the Days of Our Lives, Innuendo, Show Must Go On, I want it All, March of the Black Queen and etc.
Prophet Song from A Night At The Opera or You're My Best Friend or Seaside Rendezvous or 39.... that record is genius. I also love Killer Queen and Seven Seas of Rhye a lot...
Queen entered into my favourite bands a few months ago when I really started to appreciate them greatly. My list of favourite songs would be something like... I couldn't pick a favorite *song* persay, but my favorite album of them is BY FAR Queen 2. The vinyl, not the cd. The cd was remasted by some buthering jackass in a hollywood studio who chopped it up and put it back together again, like they do with Chicken Mcnuggets. So, so sad The cd breaks my heart by I was raised on that vinyl... I've gone through 3 copies on it (Just started my 4th) an I think I donated my cd to a thrift store. It's teh crime to all humanity
