Pubic Hair and the Female Perspective.

Hello Ladies!

I'd like to know your opinions about this subject please. I'm a (soon to be) 44 year old dude (6'2", about 210 lbs (I could stand to lose some weight!)) reasonably good looking; I guess essentially normal. However, I don't shave or trim my junk!
Now, from at least the 1960's through the 1990's, my appearance would be considered (most likely) normal (i.e. I have a normal adult male distribution of body hair and pubic hair). During this time period, I don't think there was ever a general expectation on the part of ladies that men had to trim and/or shave "down there." Post 2000, however, and most likely due to an insidious Internet Pornagraphy aesthetic which seems to have boosted Gillette's stock price (if you know what I mean), lots of men seem to shave COMPLETELY. For those that choose to do so (men or women), more power to you! It's your junk, it's your choice....and your itching!) LOL!

HERE'S WHAT I WANT TO KNOW, PLEASE: Do the ladies out there (active daters or anyone) EXPECT a guy to be shaved or at least trimmed or heavily manscaped? If you discover that he's not, and further discover that he WON'T, is that a "deal breaker" for y'all dating wise? Does the "new normal" for body appearance REQUIRE a man to pull out the trimmers and at least do something "down there"?

I, personally, am Old-School when it comes to this and would strongly prefer not to shave or trim. However, I don't want to be excommunicated from sex!! Please tell me ladies, PUBIC HAIR: (A) Love it!! I love a Natural Man!! (B) Don't care as long as he doesn't look like Sasquatch! (C) Some hair is o.k. but it's gotta be Metrosexual sleek! (D) I HATE ALL PUBIC HAIR!! BALD NOW!! BALD FOREVER!!

I can't speak for anyone else but i couldn't care less about whether a man has hair down there or not and if anything i am a little surprised if a guy has shaved it off down there. For me its simply not nessicary and makes no difference to how sex feels. It just seems a little bit prissy of a man to be that maincured and concerned with pubic hair. I like men to be MEN ya know? I love their smell and their texture and the fact that they are hairier than us. It's the contrast between the two that contributes to how sexy it is to be with a man.. Having said that it's not a deal breaker if a man does shave it off its just a bit meh i dont know.. And dont get me started on men who shave or wax their legs lol.

 

It doesn't matter to me at all. My husband shaves as a personal preference. hairy, bald, in the shape of a unicorn, doesn't matter.

I don't really care as long as they aren't grizzly adams down there...and as long as it doesn't constantly smell like sweaty balls...but I do prefer a little manscaping done if I'm going to be going down there often

Fair enough. Hair or no hair, men should know that smells and scents are quite important to women; so they need to tend to themselves accordingly.

Not important for me. I don´t expect anything specific. I do prefer hair on men but i would always respect his choice. My boyfriend is quite hairy and sometimes i wish he would trim a bit but only because i feel i can´t do certain things because i would get too much hair on my mouth...

Generally speaking, I'm not bothered by natural hair on a woman; in fact, I tend to love it! If Nature wants it to grow, I want it to be there (within some limits). Totally shaved vag is not a deal-breaker for me but is certainly not appealling to me. I sort of associate pubic hair with sexual maturity and if it's all gone, it looks child-like and I certainly don't go there!

 

personally, I prefer either natural or trimmed a little. generally a man that shaves his pubes, or his chest isn't attractive to me. I hope not shaving isnt a deal breaker.. haha, considering that I'm a chick and rarely shave anything... yup, hairy legs, hairy snatch, even hairy armpits. Hasn't been a deal breaker yet in my sex life perhaps because I tend to attract guys that aren't so shallow.

 

Im not too bothered if he has hair down there or not. altho if im honest id perfer if he trimmed a little at least, i enjoy using my mouth ;-) and i sure dont want a bush getting in my way LOL. but seriously it isnt the be all and end all if he does not trim. its personal choice.

I had a guy once who told me not to shave (i shave all, have done since a teen) and i refused just as i dont feel right if i dont go compleatly bald, so anyways he wasnt happy and as u can imagine the relastionship didnt go very far

Thanks for sharing. Of course, it's your body and you can do anything you like to it (short of seriously hurting yourself). However, isn't chronic itching and skin irritation a nearly omnipresent issue with your "magical region" if you shave all the time?
