Any other psycho kids in here? Psychobilly is one of the best and most swingin' kinds of punk. It's not real punk, I know this, but it is some heavy shit, man. If you're a fan of The Misfits, you should like psychobilly. They started it all. What are your favorite psycho bands?
In the 80's I used to play in a band called the Blood Stains and Mike Spensers Cannibals but never played a gig with either. Bands I used to see at Hammersmith including the Klub Foot were Guana Batz (Pb), The Stingrays (Pb), The Milkshakes (T), X-men (Pb), Restless (Pb), Bad Karma Beckons (Pb), Shockabilly (Pb), Demented are Go (Pb), The Cannibals (T), The Prisoners (T) but some were more Trash. The Meteors (Pb) near Victoria Never saw King Kurt or the Cramps but would have liked to. Just got into listening to these bands again.

tiger army, the nekromantix, i forget the rest, but psychobilly rocks! i really love actualy 50's music too! like chuck berry
Gun Club, The Meteors, Bone Orchard, Alien Sex Feind, The Blood on The Cats Compilations are awesome Klub Foot is legendary. Did you ever go to The Batcave club? they had psychobilly bands there too i think.
Like someone said above, Tiger Army and Necromantics are cool. There's also a band from this area that somewhat fits into this category. Sasquatch and the Sickabillys. When you listen to it on cd, I wouldn't call it psychobilly, but to see them play live, then I would. They have an amazing presence on stage, the lead singer Sasquatch, is really intense. Anyonefrom the northeast should check them out, they play all over New England and NY/NJ. http://www.sasquatchandthesickabillys.com/home.cfm
I dunno if I like the actual psychobilly music that much, I mean, it's not bad, but it's nothing amazing. I love psychobilly for the lyrics, and just the whole vibe it gives, it's so excellent, haha. I dig rockabilly/rockabilly revival more. Any rockabilly fans?
man i cant tell the difference between Psyco and Rb music, and i guess i dont care because i like it all. The horrorpops are big with my friends right now "cool flat top" - i love that song. i love the old cadillac tramps album, tombstone radio. but i guess thats rockabilly.
i like cramps,horror pops,batmobile,the hellbillys,king kurt,the quakes,the meteors,demented are go,tigar army,and man the misfits are not where near psychobilly,awesome stuff man
some of their songs were psychobilly. coz they were featured on the Blood on the Cats psychobilly compilation. And they did gigs with psychobilly bands and i know psychobilly dudes who love them.
their newer stuff is more electronica/techno-ish. but there older stuff had some obvious cramps influence. but i wouldn't go so far as to say they're psychobilly, but no way they're gothic techno. i'd say they're more like dark electronica. most psychobilly's pretty damn good, but i gotta say i like all forms of rockabilly more. i'm also sick of seeing so many kids in my town wearing their tiger army and horrorpops shirts and saying how "effin psycho" they are. tiger army's not that bad, but i really really really don't like the horrorpops. gotta say my favorite band would be demented are go! at the moment, haha 11 albums and counting. gaaaaah does anybody have any good batmobile torrents? i've only found one, and it only got 73% done before it quit downloading.
haha. well the thing is they actually have instruments. so i don't think you could really call it "techno".
techno is made with instraments, key board midicontroller, vocals, guitar, how do you think they make techno man it doesnt come out of thin air
i thought techno was made with computers and samplers and drum machines. but thats all off topic anyway... i know alien sex feind arnt psychobilly. but it was definately a huge influence on them early on (along with alice cooper and hawkwind)
i know i know but i meant drums, and guitar. like as in their music isn't driven by synth so much. but a lot of their stuff sounds different, so it's hard for me to say that it's techno or electronica or anything really.
