Protest the Canadian Seal Hunt

Hi there:

As you may or may not be aware here In Canada we have the yearly seal hunt that takes place which to me Is very Inhumane as well as uncalled for, all this In the name of money, many others feel this way as well, I currently have a petition In circulation and the object of this Is to gather more than a million signatures so there Is much public pressure therefore putting an end to this horrible act of cruelty, In having said that It Is very Important that my petition be sent out to as many people as possible that oppose this disgraceful horrible act and In aiding to do this I am personally asking for your help hopefully It be yourself signing my petition and forwarding on to others and If possible to add me to your website or webpage for more added signatures.

Are seals an endangered specie?

 

No, seals are not endangered to my knowledge

 

(You might disagree with this and it's okay)

I think that as long as a specie isn't endangered, it's ok to practice hunt on a decent scale. It's sad but true. Humans are predators, they eat meat to survive.

I think it's far worse to eat beef or pork.

Seals live wild in their natural habitat until there death... while beefs and porks live in miserable conditions. They almost don't move, they are fattened to death, they live in there own shit, THEY CAN'T EVEN REPRODUCE WITHOUT A HUMAN HELP.

You might as well put your efforts into protesting that, it's far more inhumane. However, it's necessary evil when you're a meat eater.

As a protester you might want to consider both sides.

Is it ok to isolate the parents from the babies, so that the white furred babies can be killed to provide pretty coats for the wealthy? Seals do live and they don't require man to aid them. Man only comes into benefit his own greed. Just where did you grow up. You really think they need our help to reproduce...you've been fed a line by someone!

 

they don't kill the white fur seals. it's illegal, they shouldn't some do get killed though

 

I think you misunderstood me. I know wild animals don't need men to reproduce. I was talking about cows and pigs when I said that. I was told that by a farmer I know... she may have told me lies I don't know, but I'd rather beleive her than someone on the internet.

 

Cows and pigs don't need intervention by man either. Thje only time man needs to intervene is when man wants something that mother nature doesn't always provide according to his own protocols and time tables.

I am prepared to accomodate mother nature. In fact I'd rather parttake of animals procreated naturally, than under artificial circumstances that benefit corporate interests.

 

That's why I was saying that seals have (all in all) a better life than cows and pigs.

It doesn't matter whether it's a seal, a cow, a pig, a duck or anything for that matter. Killing for anything but food when it is desperatly needed is wrong. How would those hunters like it if people or animals just came and beat them with metal poles and riped their skin off as they watch. They're bastards!!!
