Ok, well where i live they're cutting down A TON of trees to build new homes. But we have a ton of open homes on the other side of town, why do we need even MORE homes than we already have. We just need to fix up the houses a little on the other side, which would be better all around, and be a lot cheaper than building new homes. I don't even think they use the trees they cut down for building or anything. Ok well my question is what can i do to try to stop them from doing that? Anything you think of just write it cuz its pretty sickening to see all these trees go down(acres of trees). Thanks in advance
Make posters, get everyone you know who would care about it to meet. Make a petition. If you can't stop it from happening in advance, then on the day make sure you get as many people as possible to turn up and protest.... don't budge and if it comes to it.. do as chris says and climb the trees!
Don't let that discourage you! If you can save just one, be proud of it! Waste no time and find others who share a likeness and form a human chain around the trees or something... Just be sure to get a protesting permit and make sure what you do is legal. Not because they are right, but because you can't do anything to save them from INSIDE a jail...
Don't give up. I don't know what to say, because I don't have much experience with this kind of thing, but good luck, man.
maybe you can write a letter with the alternative plan to the council of your city, and if it is possible to get a petition in a short time add that aswell... also you can hand out flyers, to make people aware that this thing is happening, of sort of things like this in the future. and that its definatly not necessarry because there is much free space on the other side (or somewhere else).
Those trees were at some point public property - contact your government and bitch at them not to sell more.
